Helping out with another friend's wedding!

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Yesterday we helped out at Ambrose & Cathryn's wedding. Boy was it tiring and a whole lot of fun!

Ambrose actually borrowed our baby "2414" to be his bridal car, so we had to meet him the night before at Bugis to let the bridal shop people decorate it. We had to head there right after work and the decorating took awhile, end up we only reached home at around 9.30pm when we were damn hungry and had to settle our dinner with Kimchi Maggie Noodles.

Yesterday morning baby and I had to wake up earlier than usual, I woke up at 6.30am? Baby didn't need alot of time to bathe and need not wear make up, so he woke at around 7.15am. He was the Bridal Car chauffeur so he had to head directly to Ambrose's home at Potong Pasir to pick him up. As for me, I took a cab to Pasir Ris Costa Sands Chalet to meet up with Joey and Doris and Cathryn herself. As she wasn't a local, she had to book a chalet for her parents and close relatives and the "picking up bride" location was there as well.

It was 9am and the 'brothers', along with the groom reached. We planned a few games to "torture" them before they were allowed into the room. It was fun, funny, and there were lots of laughters. We "extorted" a 'open door' ang bao at $128, for a total of 4 'sisters'. Not bad hor, at least we were to nasty on them and didn't expect too big of a ang bao.

We had to travel to a few places and the morning ended at Ambrose's grandma's house at westcoast. There was a buffet lunch spread and we all filled our empty tummies before we sent Ambrose & Cathryn to their hotel. Baby and I headed home to catch the little afternoon nap, and it was really alittle. I don't usually take afternoon naps so didn't managed to sleep, just lied down for 45minutes before I had to bathe again and slowly put on my make up. Baby was really tired for driving all morning, and knocked out the moment he lied on the bed. Heez.. Slept like a baby....

We headed to the hotel, and I had to prepare the reception table while baby looked around the restaurant to familarisecwith the layout as he will be one of the ushers... Though most of the guest were relatively late, as expected during chinese wedding dinners, the whole evening went rather smoothly, and the food were really fantastic. Very good quality for just a restaurant.

After the sumptous dinner, Jeremy gave all of us a lift home. Baby didn't drive as he thought he had to drink for the groom, but ended up most of Ambrose's guest were non-drinkers and baby didn't really got to drink, though he anticipated with excitement... Lolx!

We were very happy for the couple, and wish them a blissful and lovely future!

New ideas, resourcing, and still a question mark?!?!

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Goosh! I haven't blogged for 3 weeks le! I really ought to remind myself that I need to spare some time blogging amidst my busy busy schedule.

Two days ago we just attended Baby's buddy, Shiyuan & Faith's solemnization. It was 20-09-2009. Amazing how time flies, and it felt like yesterday when Faith & I were chatting on MSN about our "plans" for ROM. Now that their ROM has gone by, it's time to tell myself not to procrastinate and start with our preparations for our own matrimony.

Remember when I initially planned for a outdoor/garden dinner reception? Well, I guess after some thoughts and worries, baby and I have decided to do a lunch reception. Firstly, my concern was that our 'Big Day' falls on a Sunday, and the next day is a working day for everybody. So if I hold it during evening time, my guests might have to leave early, or perhaps, not come. That's the last thing I want for my special day. Secondly, holding the reception in the outdoors during evening time can affect the moods of everybody especially me, because we have to be worried that it could be either very hot & stuffy or raining. Thirdly, I would prefer some privacy when we say our vows. Privacy in a way where I will feel more comfortable when the people witnessing our matrimony are our family and friends, rather than passer-bys and on-lookers.

Though if we hold it in the outdoors, my photograoher can really capture very beautiful shots of the greenary, but I still have my worries lor. Hai.... I really dunno what's with me... I'm so hard to please...

I can be very particular about every single detail, from the overall decorations, quality of food and drinks, down to the napkins my guests use. There are pros and cons being a "particular" person. Because I can get agitated and angry when things don't go "my" way. Baby keeps saying why bother about all these when others might not even care or notice, but I it just bothers me lor.... Heez..

Now I'm sourcing for restaurants or hotels that caters to private events like solemnizations. It will be best if the particular location has beautiful views of scenary. I already have one or two in mind but theres no harm looking for more for comparison. It could be a sit down lunch rather than my initial plan for buffet. I guess my ideas will never be settled until the day arrives..... =)

Luckily baby supports whatever I want, because he says most importantly is that I'm happy!

Love you Baby! =)

We finally found our Photographer!

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Yeh! We have finally confirmed our photographer for our ROM next year as well as a outdoor casual shoot! I felt so relieved when I placed the deposit, because I no longer have to worry about finding a photographer that doesn't meet the standards I have in mind. Not that I have high expectations, it's because there are several different styles of photography in the market, and the ones that meet my style are very expensive, and the ones that are priced resonably are not up to the standard I have in mind.

Luckily, Faith referred her friend Loius Leow to me. Louis did a casual shoot for Faith & SY and I saw her photos in Facebook and found that the photography by Louis is exactly what I'm looking for. And perhaps because he is doing freelance, his charges were much more reasonable as compared to the other quotations I got from other photographers I found through Google.

Yeh! Now I'm focusing on searching for the right location for our solemnization, it's a tough one, but I believe ultimately Baby and I will find the Right place!
