What a day~

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Aiyo... Haven't had time to blog lately... guess I was too lazy to blog..... trying to recall the happenings for the past few days...

Alright, to start off, Siong finally purchased the router for wi-fi connection to his mac, and yeh!!!.... Im using iMac liao~... Woo Hoo~... Its so much faster and finer definition of images~ No more EXtremely slow internet, and lousy definition screen... and all these are free~ Wahahaha... Because iMac is too cheap in the states.. so Siong has decided to keep this mac at Spore even after he leaves for his PHD next year.... aiya, anyway when his semester starts next year, he will get another Mac Book Pro... for Free!!.... complimentary from his research laboratory Cold Spring Harbour.... Yeh, CSH the best!!

This week has been a very hectic, tiring week for both Baby and me... For my side, its because my company held an event in our showroom on Friday, so we had to prepare the required documents, send invitation, follow up on RSVP, and prepare the goodie bags...

The outcome of the event was.... I would say, not as wonderful as we expected. However, the comforting fact was that we each got a free carpet home... Heez... tough its only 4 x 2 ft, its still worth $600 if we sell it to clients... I placed it in my room beside my bed, and the size is perfect. The moment I get off my bed, I'm stepping on the comfy carpet... even Baby who usually disagrees with the idea of having carpet as soft furnishing at home, finds the carpet nice and comfortable. Heez... anyway I'm definatly buying carpets for our new home, and I'll fetch a good price because I'm working in a carpet company... Hehehehehe....

My new carpet~ Heez~
-------------------------------------
Baby came to fetch me after his OT, which ended at 10pm.. Poor Baby, for this weekend, he had to work 3 consecutive days from Friday till Sunday... I really didn't expect HDB to have so much OTs.... But Baby enjoyed working overtime as the pay is good and theres not much they have to do, just sit around looking after the polling centre, talking craps with his colleagues....

Saturday turns out to be a rather sian day for me... I had to work... but all of us came in late for work due to the fact that we all had to work till 11plus on Friday night... Baby also had to work from 3.30pm to 10pm again... So which means I had to go home by myself after work... another burned Saturday night despite the fact that I didn't had to work today.... Well... What to do, Baby had to work early this morning, and I know he is tired, so we decided not to go out... The most sian factor was that when I was on my way home alone yesterday, while taking the mrt, I didn't have my PSP with me cos Baby took it... and the most suay thing was that my iPod was out of battery and I have forgotton to charge it, so no music to kill time too... =( Baby said I was plain suay~....

Today I woke up like 10am in the morning, which is considered early for a Sunday for me... I guess it was because Baby left for work early in the morning, so when I woke up, I didn't have him around to cuddle in order to fall asleep again.. so I just woke up and did some house chores , like change my bed sheet and folding the washed laundry....

I was in a rather good mood even though I woke up early today, because I was reminded that both of us were on leave tomorrow. Heez... joining my my HLM family for outing tomorrow...
But right after lunch time, I didn't know what got into me... Mama was like shouting for me all the time to do house chores, and I felt annoyed with her screaming and nagging, so I shouted back to her, expressing my anger that she always screamed at me to do house chores, instead of getting Siongs to do... Mama then got very angry, and scolded me for not being understanding enough, that I was selfish because I never thought of how much she has given for our family...

Which in turn got me crying... actually I didn't know what got into me at that time... I love my mom, and I'm aware of how much she have done on her part to take care of the family, cooking for us, doing the laundry, and some house chores despite the fact that she still has got her own business to take care... But I guess it was due to my PMS.... and its day 1... so I get worked up easily... and tend to flaunt my anger on loved ones around me....

After crying while folding the cleaned laundry in Mama's room, I still felt very sad, probably because I realized that my actions few minutes ago, had hurt Mama so deeply... Siongs were both around during my quarrel with Mama, and both of them kept quiet... probably because they realized that they didn't did enough on their part to help in house chores... Big Siong came to check on me while I was still crying in my room, and Small Siong approached me to play Mario Party after I calmed down... and it did help me calm down and reflect on my mistake...

After our game, I went to apologize to Mama, and luckily Mama wasn't angry with me anymore, and she said I should know that she always talks loudly... Ya its true, Mama's voice is so loud, when she talks, she sounds like she is shouting, and when she shouts, its like someone screaming at the top of her voice.... I'm sorry Mommy~.... Although I know you won't read my blog as you don't even know the basics of computer, but I have really reflected on my mistake and promise I won't make you angry liao... at least I'll try not to make you angry too many times in the future~... Heez...

Mama and Big Siong went to Tan Tock Seng to visit grandma later in the afternoon, as grandma fell down again in the toilet at home, and cut herself on her hand... I hope grandma will get better soon, and I'll go visit her on the coming weekdays after work...

After visiting, Mama called home and asked if we wanted to go out for dinner, so we arranged to meet at AMK hawker centre to makan... Since mama haven't been there since it was renovated... But end up, Mama and Big Siong reached amk earlier than us, and she went to the wrong place, supposed to be hawker, but she went to S11.... aiyo~... Mama so cute~... But I don't blame her, cause she is not familiar with makan places... She seldom eats out... Heez~ But its ok.. maybe the week after next we will bring her to the hawker... cause she wants to try the Char Kway Tiao~...

Uploaded some photos because I finally had the time~

Shopping spree...!! Part ||

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Ok to continue my story....

After touring around the basement, not knowing what to buy, I then suggested we go to the 2nd level to walk walk. See if we can find any other goodies thats on sale. And yes indeed we found F ox! They were having 50% off storewide, and their rack of mini beach shorts attracted me. Heez, and I managed to find one that was so cute!.... Rainbow color stripes....

Baby also found jeans... and yes, jeans again... He was like digging the male side of the boutique, and I was so engrossed with the female's corner. End up I tried several tops, and baby tried some tops and bottoms.... We were in the boutique for like almost 1.5 hours... We left the shop only at around 10.20pm, which by hen most of the other shops have closed liao....

By end of the day, or should I say week, my shopping barang barangs consist of..........

4 tops
2 bottoms
2 pairs of shoes
1 jumper suit
1 sandwich maker
3 tops (baby's)
2 bottoms (baby's)

Wahaha... and this is not going to end... next week, I'll make a trip down to takashimaya or DFS galleria, to see if I can find some nice accessories from Tiffany & Co. or Christian Dior..... Always wanted to go but didn't have the time....

Shopping Spree!~

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

HoHo...! We went for shopping spree for the past 2 days. Firstly it was tuesday when we went to bishan after work for dinner, and I got myself 2 new pairs of shoe. One was wedges from Pazzion, and the other was sandals from Charles & Keith. Hehez.. I couldn't resist those pretty and cute shoes... We then went to Giodano because Baby had $20 vouchers to spend there. End up, he bought one top and one jeans, and I got myself one shorts...

We then headed for Best Denki becos I wanted to buy one Sandwiche Maker. There were lots of different brands, and I was pretty interested in a phillips one. I have actually decided to get it already, but Baby wanted to go NTUC-xtra @ amk to reckee for more choices and better prices... What to do?~... Baby is that stubborn, die die also must compare price before he buys anything.

Therefore on the following day, Baby went to amk hub's ntuc to check out their collection of appliances, and found out that their choices are much lesser and prices are in fact more expensive. After work, he came to fetch me and suggested that we go Plaza Singapura's best denki instead of bishan's, because the shop is bigger, should have mopre choices.

Of cause I wasn't convinced that we can find "more" choices there, I still went along with Baby's idea to go Plaza. End up, we only found lesser choices and this sales auntie recommended that we buy this Morphy Richards sandwiche cum grill maker. It was on special discount too as it was left with the display piece. At first I was in a dilemma as I was willing to pay more to get a new or better type, but Baby was so convinced that it was the best of the rest, and that there wasn't anything wrong with the display piece.

So I went along with his decision, and just bought that display piece. We then went to Carl's Junior for our hearty dinner~... Yummy yummy~

After dinner, we then went to Carrefour to buy some groceries. We bought manny things like ham, bread, anderson's ice cream, grapes, biscuits and Lindtt chocolattes. Wow, my initial intention was to buy ham and bread to try out the new sandwiche maker, but end up we bought like more then what we should. =p Heez....

As for last night, we went to bishan again as I had to go Pazzion to collect the shoes which I bought. On tuesday, they didn't have a new piece for my size, so had to transfer from other branches. Anyway, after collecting my shoes, baby still haven't reached Bishan, so I went to 2nd level to walk walk.... Came across this shop selling clothes, I think its called 'Celeste', and I found one top and one jumper suit... Heez..

We then went to S11 for our dinner, I had Kim Chi Ramen, and Baby had Chicken Rice. Mine was so so, but Baby's chicken rice was nice. I'll probably order that the next time we go... After dinner, we went to walk walk again, and this time we went to basement one, because I was craving for chocolate stuff, and wanted to buy eclair. But in the end Baby stopped me from buying... =( SoBx... he said I always eat unhealthy stuff, dun allow me to buy.... boo hoo...

Durians again !!

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Lolx... posting alot today, basically because I was working earlier on when I was blogging. The greatness of working during weekends... nobody to disturb me, I can do what ever I want~

Came home right after work because Mama cooked our dinner, and right after that we were eating durians again... Heez.. As I mentioned my cousin bought 1 whole basket of durians on friday, there were so much that we still some more till now...

The durians that we have left were all so cute and small... Heez, couldn't resist taking picture of them~

Day @ Sentosa... Pls Be Careful With Your Belongings!

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Yesterday was a fine Saturday, we woke up at around 12 pm, and Baby went to AMK to buy Veggetarian Bee Hoon, "You Tiao", and Soya Bean Curd" for me to eat again... Heez... My Baby is the sweetest dearest darling~

After eating, Baby and I were like "nua-ing" on the sofa watching Siong play Resident Evil 4 with the Wii... This game is kind of fun.. but similar style to the previous REs I used to watch while my fu*king ex bf was playing with PS2. But I still got frightened and was screaming when the zombies suddenly attacked from no where while Siong was playing... Haha~... Luckily Siong never scold me for distracting him... HoHo~...

After that, I went to bathe and then pack for our sentosa trip. Baby and his colleagues planned to meet at around 3.30pm, which I thought was pretty late lor.. Because by the time we settle down for our beach volleyball game, the sun would be almost starting to set, then I can't get my sun tan liao~ But anyway, they already agreed with the time, what can I say?~

When we were setting off at about 3 plus, the sky looked dark... Oh Oh~... but we still had to go anyway~ His colleagues are already waiting at Vivocity liao~

I took some photos while Baby was driving along the expressway~... Heez... Had nothing to do so take photo lor~.. I also can't play PSP anway, because I'll get car sick if I play while the car is moving~
--------------------------------------
Baby nag at me for distracting his drinving~
--------------------------------------
Baby acting cool~
--------------------------------------
Me acting cute~
--------------------------------------
Heez~ Taken during jam on cte~
--------------------------------------
Heez.... This doesn't look like me~
--------------------------------------
By the time we reached Sentosa, it was starting to drizzle liao~... we quickly grab the stuffs and headed for Bikini Bar as his colleagues were waiting there~.. End up we were all stuck at Bikini Bar for about 1 hour drinking beer as the rain became heavier...

We waited for the rain to stop before we walked a distance to Siloso Beach and layed our matt down. In a short while Baby, me and Madelene were playing volleyball, while the rest of the ladies were munching the tidbits...Heez, they were so cute, having mini picnic instead, when in the first place, they arranged this outing for beach volleyball~.. Lolx~

--------------------------------------

What look is that?
--------------------------------------
Baby's "dashing" tongue pose~
--------------------------
Posing again~
--------------------------------------
After playing like less then 30 minutes of volleball, we switched to frisbee instead... My hands were pain from the volleyball liao~... Ouch! It was so much fun and laughter as we turned the frisbee game into Monkey~... Haha.. Serene was so funny when she was the monkey~...

Time passed very fast and it was 7pm liao.. The ladies went into the water before we went showering, but was asked to return to the shore after playing in the water for less than 10 minutes, as the sky was turning dark and the life guards was clearing the off shore, telling everybody the beach is closed for the day~...

We walked to the nearby toilet but found out it was totally packed!.. So I suggested that we headed for the toilet located next to the Luge, as its further away from the beach, should be less people. Luckily the Island Tram happened to be stopping by, so we longbang over the Luge area~... Indeed there were less people there~...

Okay, everything about the Sentosa Trip was fine, the only "negative" fact was during our shower time in the toilet. I was the first among us to go shower, so I finished first and was drying my hair at the dressing table while waiting for the rest. Then there was this Malay Auntie which I found suspicious idling in the toilet.

Because while we were queueing up for our turn to shower, I already saw her standing beside the queue waiting. But she was dressed nicely, wearing heels, make up and carrying her bag, looking at the shower area, so we thought she was waiting for her family members who was still showering. However, after waiting for about 10- 15 minutes for my turn to shower, and than another 10-15 minutes to shower, I came out to find that she was still idling in the toilet. I was like thinking, what is this woman still doing here when all those who were in the shower were my friends liao..

Then I just placed my bag on the dressing table while drying my hair with my towel. But of cos, my bag was right in front of me, and than the mirror behind my bag, so that I can take care of my belongings while drying my hair. Then suddenly this auntie jus lights up her cigarette and start smoking in the toilet. Wat The Hell!!... So smelly, and people just bathe you know. Then she was like standing beside me, and I realised that she purposely put her bag very close to mine, and like pretending to tidy her already so short hair while looking at the mirror. So i shifted my bag away from her's and moved alittle away from her. She then walked away towards the other side of the toilet, thinking that I'm not aware if her actions. Then she returned back to the dressing table again and purposely bang her bag with mine and wanted to squeeze to my side of the mirror, when there were still so much more space on her side, I stared at her, this time taking my bag closer to me again and she was like pretending to take her phone out and staring chatting in some strange language. In my mind, I was thinking, is she "bo ho seh" - crazy?... or is she trying to steal my things?

Then after chatting on her phone, she went out of the toilet. So I ignored her. Then Haze, followed by Madelene came out from their shower. At first I kept this strange encounter to myself, thinking that I might be over sensitive. Then I was combing my hair while chatting with Haze telling her it was raining heavily and we are stucked in the toilet, when I saw the auntie came in again. This time she was wandering around the other side of the toilet, where the cubicles and washing basins are. This time there was 1 chinese girl of our age applying her cream and make up at the basin area, and I saw that her bag was wide opened while she stood a short distance away applying stuff to her face. Then I saw the same Auntie walking to the basin beside the lady's bag and started rinsing her mouth again and again. As the dressing table was situated at the middle of the toilet, from my position I could clearly what she was trying to do.

She was trying to place her hand into the lady's bag while pretending to rinse her mouth, and the lady was totally unaware of it as the Auntie was standing in between her widely opened bag and herself. I could stand it man, I was staring at the Auntie and she saw me catching her actions, she she quickly walked away from the basin and pretended to dry her mouth with tissue.

So I pretended that I was unaware as I knew she haven't managed to steal anything yet. I was waiting for her to strike again. And yes indeed, she went back to the basin and started rinsing her mouth again. This time I saw her hand reaching further into the bag, so I quickly told the lady's friend, whom was standing jus beside me to warn her friend to beware of that Auntie. We all spoke in mandarin, hoping the auntie won't understand.

But I guess because the ladies said thank you to me, the auntie realised she was exposed and she started to pretend to dry her mouth again. Then she spoke to the lady (the one she tried to "attack"), but in some kind of language we all don't understand, then the auntie walked out of the toilet. End up, the lady didn't understand what the Stealer Auntie was saying, but I guess the aunties was feeling guilty concious liao.

We then all went out of the toilet, but because it was raining heavily outside we were stucked at the entrance of the toilet. Then I saw the stealer auntie talking to this chinese guy, who stood outside the toilet ever since like... 30 minutes ago?... I then realised that the chinese guy was her accomplice. Hai~... But I have to leave the place liao, cause Baby bring umbrella to come fetch me liao. Till now I still feel very angry about this incident. If only I could catch her red handed..

I would like to seek every of my friend's attention that they should be cautious about suspicious people, and also to look after their belongings especially in overly crowded areas such as public toilets, bus interchange, trains, buses......

Maybe due to my previous occupation as jewellery sales, we are taught to be sensitive to suspicious people, observe their unnatural actions and behaviours, and take actions when necessary~... Hai... if only we could catch that auntie and her accomplice~....

Anyway to continue... we went to Marche @ Vivocity for our dinner. The huge cow bells that they hang as decorations were so cute, and very heavy too. I guess Marche really spent alot of money on their decor. But I guess its worth while as it creates a very unique and comfortable environment for dinning.. I kind of liked the way they charge your bill, with each person paying with their own Marche Card when ordering. This way if you are going as a group for dinner, its easier to pay your portion of the bill as you only pay for what you actually ordered.

However, I still find the prices to be kind of steep, and the food is not exactly very quality and tasty food. Baby paid like 60 bucks for just the two of us. We did ordered quite a number of dishes, but Baby still felt hungry after we went home from the dinner. We were even comparing the prices with other places we dine and Baby felt that its even more worth it to dine at Paradise on Earth Steamboat. ;) Surprisingly~

Mario Party 8...Great!

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Friday after work, we went to Toa Payoh to have our dinner.. We went to the bubble tea cafe at the Toa Payoh version of Jubilee.. The building is just next to Courts TPY.

Basically the whole layout and design of the building was almost the twin of Jubilee @ AMK. Baby wanted to bring me to the Bubble Tea Cafe there some days back to have dinner, but we postponed the idea, so I thought we could go on this lovely Friday~

Initially I thought it was different from the one at AMK, but when we reached there, I realised the menu and food and price is exactly the same as AMK's one.

Chey~ Baby knew it was the same Bubble Tea cafe in the first place. Just another branch... But anyway we still went in and ordered our food. I ordered the same Tom Yum Kway Tiao I used to at amk, and Baby ordered Pork Chop Rice, and we shared one Salted Crispy Chicken.Initally we thought the food should be either the same or better compared to amk's. But to my surprise, the Tom Yum wasn't as sour and spicy compared to amk's, and the Crispy Salted Chicken was also not crispy enough. What a disappointment ! Next time we'll just go AMK and eat, no need to travel so far to TPY.

After that we went to walk walk, and I bought myself a nice and cheap shoulder bag that I can use when I go to the beach, because my current Rip Curl beach bag is too big for just 1 day trips to the beach. Its more suitable for overseas trips or Chalets. And of cause I wouldn't want to carry my LV or Gucci bags to the beach.. Who would do that ?~

We then headed for NTUC because Baby was in charge of buying tidbits and drinks for our Sentosa trip with his colleagues tomorrow. After buying, we then headed home to enjoy Durians!
My cousin Joey, bought 1 whole basket of durians from Malaysia, and distributed some to us. Wow, they were delicious~..

After our durians... Siong jio us to play Wii again, and this time we were playing Mario Party 8. It was so so so much fun!! its sort of like a board game kind of game, only that there is no ending, the route is like a round about, and eat of use had to dice during our turns in order to move ahead. And every round there is this mini game for us to earn more cash. Throughout the game, we could earn cash by moving, steal other player's cash, or destroy their cash. We had to use our cash to buy Hotels, and any player can upgrade the Hotel and take over at any time when you have enough cash.

We choose to play 20 rounds, which I thought was a mistake, because the whole game took like 3 hours to finish?... End up we all slept at around 4 am?... Lolx.. But the comforting fact was that,............. I Won The Game!!! Wahahaha! =P

Nintendo Wii !!

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Today is a extremely tired day for me... slept only at around 3am last nite, was too occupied playing PSP and watching tv at the same time.. Lolx~

Just some updates of happenings for the past 3 days...

Thursday after work, Mama came to fetch me from work as she was nearby, but I had to accompany her to keppel bay for one delivery before we were going home. Wa~ end up there was jam from orchard to keppel, and from keppel to home. End up, we only reached home at around 9pm. Went to bathe and had late dinner alone =( than waited for Baby to come home from his OT. Luckily his OT ends at 9.30pm.

After Baby came home, he went to bathe and soon we were snuggling up together watching tv.

Siong came home not long after that, and he asked us to come out to the living room to help wire up the new Nintendo Wii he took back from Sim Lim Square for modifying, if we wanted to play~.. Lolx, Baby was excited, dashed out to help siong, and not for long, we were playing doubles tennis game.. actually was 3 person only, because Baby and me vs. Siong.

It was fun!... But initially when you start playing, you will not get used to the remote, but the remote was what's unique about Wii~ After like 2 games I was like tired liao, needed to sleep early as the following day was friday, still have to work...

But Baby and siong was still hooked to the tennis game, so they end up playing singles without me, so I took the opportunity to take photos~.. Haha!

--------------------------------------

Look at them ! Looks likes they are playing real Tennis~

Wa, so serious face~

First Time @ Old Airport Road

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Today is yet another wednesday for me, this day is like the mid of the week, and when ever this day arrives, it reminds me that the weekend is only 2 more days away and this excites me.. its what pushes me forward, encouraging me to work hard and and time will pass so fast, you wouldn't even notice, and Friday arrives, I would tell myself, TGIF !!!

Today in office, our new Professional Printer arrived, to replace the older Office Printer, but both still from Fuji Xeroz. Now we can finally print very fine resolution pictures. those very good quality ones. My manager told me this printer is commonly used by those printing companies, to print like brochures and booklets. So more or less we know how well this printer is going to work.. next time i can even print photos with this printer... He He Heeeez...

Baby came to fetch me at my office after work, as we intended to go Toa Payoh to have our dinner.. But dunno for what reason, Baby took the wrong route and we end up going to Old Airport Road's Market to have our dinner. I guess it is a well done mistake because its me first time eating at Old Airport road, and now that they recently revamped the place, its much bigger and much cleaner.

The moment we reached there, I was amazed at the number of stalls and choices of delicacies... There was too many to choose, so we ordered "Wan Tan Mee", "Prawn Noodle Soup", Oyster Omelette"and "BBQ Chicken Wings". Wow, we ate so much.. After which we went to "Er Gu Tang Sui" which mean 2nd Auntie's Dessert to ta bao "Ah Bowling in peanut soup", which is glutinous rice balls in peanut soup & "Or Bi Ber", which is black rice with coconut. Basically all these stalls which we chose, were either famous stalls that were patronize by artistes, or complimented by the newspapers for their delicious food.

--------------------------------------
Baby's Or Bi Ber
--------------------------------------

My Ah Bowling in peanut Soup
--------------------------------------

We also ta bao Peanut pancake home so that I can eat it as breakfast for tomorrow at work... Heex.. The shape and style of the pancake was different from what we usually see from other stalls, so I had to buy it~

--------------------------------------
Curry Puff Shaped Peanut Pan Cake
-------------------------------------

There were so much more other yummy food which I wanted to buy, like Rojak, BBQ Seafood, Char Kway Tiao, Popiah, Satay and many many more.... I made Baby promise me that he will bring me there again to try the other delicacies.. Heez.. I would say its a must to go there to try their food..

No wander I always hear people complimenting about the good food at Old Airport Road. After its renovation, the place is much more airy, and clean. Parking is no longer an issue due to its large parking area and also a multi storey carpark behind the market. Its a ideal place to go makan with family and friends....

After we reached home, Siong siong offered me a very nice Potato Chips. It was actually a gift from his friend, which was purchased from Russia. I guess this might be the only chance I ever get to taste potato chips from Russia. It was very nice, Bacon flavored, and the chips was of different shape and texture compared to those we usually eat... Indeed its a day of good food... Don't know how much weight Im going to gain from this fruitful day....

Reviews on Red Cliff...

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

I was kind of occupied by different minor things since I woke up at 12.30pm for the whole of yesterday, so didn't have the time to blog.

When we woke up, I was craving for bean curd and "you tiao", so Baby went to amk to buy for me.. Heez, how will I ever survive without Baby.. The "you tiao" was yummy, together with warm bean curd and ice cold soya bean milk.. Baby bought extra for mama and siongs, and I was surprised the 2 siongs were munching so much "you tiaos" despite the fact that they just ate the lunch.. Lolx.. I guess its because the "you tiaos" were too delicious, Baby said its kneaded and fried only after you order, so very fresh.

The show we watched on Saturday, Red Ciff, was nice, with the beautiful effects from the mountains and valleys which I believe was shot in China. The story line and actors were suitable, and surprisingly there were many "laughing" parts in this war show..

The best parts were by Tony Leung and and "Jin Chen Wu", they were the ones who made us laugh, I think I liked the show because I'm interested in war shows, and learning about their strategy.. The only dissappointment, or should I say surprise from the show, was that we didn't get to watch the whole show.. It was like you wtach half way.. and its reaching the exciting part, then suddenly appear " To Be Continued...."

Initially we thought it was a joke, then they would continue the show in less than a minute, but the lights in the theatre came on so we finally knew the show ended. Baby said that he felt cheated, because the trailer or commercial for red cliff did not mention that it was going to be a 2 parts show.. But I guess it was a gimmick to make viewers pay for 1 more ticket to watch the part 2 of Red Cliff.

But I really find the show nice, so i'll be going to watch the second part of Red Cliff once they launch it....

Coral Spring Has Started !!

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Today at work, time kind of pass very fast, most probably because got lots of things to do.. almost didn't have the time for lunch~...

Was chatting with Faith and we talked about rain, umbrella bla bla bla~.. Hoho.. talking about umbrella, reminds me of the cats printing umbrella Baby bought me when I started working in the carpet company.. the umbrella was my favorite pinky color with lots of cats all over it.. and I even remember Baby's joke~ "if there was one with cats and dogs printing, he will sure buy it for me, because 'raining cats and dogs'.... -_-# Baby's cute sense of humor... Lolx!

We arranged to meet at AMK Hub after work... and I reached first, so went around trying to shop for some new clothes, since its still the GSS period. But I really couldn't find a single shop selling something that I like~... Hai~... Sometimes when you really intend to spend $$.. you end up not buying anything because nothing catches your eye~ But honestly speaking, AMK really dun have any shop for me to buy clothes.. because you know~.. im very fussy~

Had fried fish bee hoon soup for dinner at the food court on level 4.. or was it 3?... I never get sick of the fried fish bee hoon soup... just love it~...

After that we went to Green Garden to buy Mango Tango~... Heez, Baby found this new Bubble Tea store just opposite his office, and they were having opening special, so he ta bao their Mango Tango for me yesterday, and I love it!.... So today I asked Baby to bring me to this store and I wanted to buy the Mango Tango again... Its really very nice!.. the Mango Tango tasted very similar to the one from Rockery @ Bugis. But it was much cheaper, selling at $2 due to their opening special price.. It even includes pearls, and the special thing about their pearls is that its smaller, so cute~ Kind of new and appealing to me... Baby bought their Kiwi Tango.. full of kiwis!... and it was freshly sliced in front of us.. Baby loved it because it was sour, but I still prefer my Mango~ Yummy~

I would say this Green Garden is a must try, at least its better and healthier then adding apple or fruit flavorings to the bubble teas that we usually find at other bubble tea stores.. eg. Sweet Talk.

After buying our Tangos, we went to Fernvale to check out our house to be "Coral Spring", because Mama told me 2nd Aunt saw the area being horded up. And yes indeed, they have started the hording of the area, I believe they would be starting construction soon!.. Yipee!, I'm so excited, and I hope they will finish the making of our new home sooner than expected.

Hoho~ Tomorrow we are going to watch midnight show Red Cliff with faith and sy... But it's gonna end kind of late because the whole show is 150mins, and our show only starts at 11.45pm. I think I'm going to be like extremely tired after the show because tomorrow still got to work... Well... what to do..

Will review on the show after tomorrow, hope it's going to be nice~

Cartel dinner today~

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Today is yet another holi-wednesay for me... I thought having to sleep more today would perk me up from my sleepy mood since monday... but Im still feeling restless and tired.. What's wrong man?... Probably working too hard?.. or played too hard last week?... Lolx.. I think working too hard is not the right reason... I guess I need a good rest.. maybe 1 or two days of leave to stay at home and rest, or maybe 1 more day for shopping.. Hehe~ But most importantly... 1 week of holiday to go Bangkok!!... Shopping!!... Good Food!!... Full Body Massage!! But I still gotta wait for my GM to approve my leave before our trip to BKK on Sept is confirmed~... But I don't care~... I Must Go..!!!!!

I kind of have quite a number of activities going on this month.. many people jio to go out.. go play pool, go wild wild wet outing, go eat steamboat, go watch movie, bla bla bla... Some more still got company event on 25th, Persian food again.. wines.. social entertainment to our quest~.. Will be eating too mush good food this month man.. gotta go swimming or badminton with Baby liao...
But to remind me of my uncontrolled eating.. today Baby and me went to Cafe Cartel @ Bishan for dinner... Initially wanted to go for Thai Express, but this promo from Cartel attracted me.. Free ice Cream Topped Brownie for Capita Card Holders with every $40 spent at Cartel.. Thats how I convinced Baby to go Cartel for dinner because he didn't really like the food there... Heeex~

I had the Specialty Award Winning Pork's Ribs, and Baby had Sterloin Steak @ medium rare.. EeEe.. Medium Rare is not cooked enough for me~...

-----------------------
Soup of The Day to start off our dinner, it's kind of nice with the free flow of freshly baked bread~
-----------------------
My Pork Ribs~ Not as nice as I expected~
--------------------
Baby's Sterloin Steak~
-------------------
Our Free Brownie Dessert~ (Very large serving as usual)
-----------------

Overall, the dinner wasn't very nice, because the food wasn't fresh enough, and Baby's medium rare steak was alright in the beginning, however, towards the middle of the steak he realized that it wasn't cooked long enough, so it was kind of bloody in the middle.

The service standard was really lousy too, when I asked about the free brownie promo during ordering, the waitress was very unfriendly, and keep mentioning that our orders have not reached $40 dollars despite the fact that we haven't finish ordering. She also informed me that I have to pay with my Capita Card in order to enjoy this benefit. "Duh, its common sense what"

When we finish ordering (which Baby had already calculated our bill should have reached $40), she still say its not enough, so I prompt her whether the "$40" includes gst and service charge. She then said yes and we reminded her our order should have reached the expected "$40" if it includes gst and service charge. After checking the total amount with her cashier, she then came back and told us its above $40, but still insisted that I show her my Capita Card before submitting our order.

What the hell man, showing this kind of attitude to customers like as if we can afford to pay our meal leh.. haven't started my meal, I'm already pissed of by them. The worst thing was that when we asked to serve our dessert, it took them 20mins before we get to eat it.. Although the dessert was up to my expectations because I always liked Cartel's brownie due to its unselfishly large serving, I still didn't liked the attitude I got from the waitress.

I really don't understand why these well to do restaurants have such service standards, and they still dare to charge us 10% service charge. I'm also in the service line, and in fact for many years. I know what it feels to be serving different types of customers everyday, and all sorts of awful remarks or attitude we get from nasty customers. Thats why I always spare a thought for those people who serve me when I go to restaurants or shopping. But why do I still get this kind of freaking lousy service attitude from them?... Is this the kind of service standard we can only get in Singapore?...

I kind of admire myself for my patience , even when I meet the most nastiest customer, and I'm proud of the service awards I get during my career in Aspial. I always believe, if you want to be in the service line, you must tell yourself to be prepared for the worst of the worst customer, and patiently solve any arising problems with a smile on the face.. and be polite and courteous when we speak.. I believe thats the most basic attitude one should have if they want to be in the service line.. But it's usually not what we get in Singapore~

No wander tourists always complain about the service standards in Singapore~ Moreover nowadays majority of the retail companies are hiring PRC for the service line.. omg~.. is it really that cheap labour? They can't even speak proper english or understand what the customer is saying, how are they able to assist us?.. we still have to translate our question to mandarin in order to accommodate to them~ * No offense to some PRC I know.. but it's the fact~...

I hate cold calling!!~

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Yesterday was kind off boring... what we call a blue monday... I didn't manage to sleep well on sunday night, probably because I ate too much, especially the delicious sharks fin soup mama cooked... so I was late for work, and I mean late like 45 minutes late... luckily my bosses are usually late themselves.. so they usually don't complain when we are slightly late... hee heex.. best for people like me because I'm late queen.. Hoho~

After work I went home alone, boring~ Cooked some "guo tie" dumplings for siongs and myself.. yummy yummy... poor baby, still had to work OT till 11pm...

Baby reached home like 11.30pm, after he ta bao roti prata from The Prata House @ Rosyth Road (my old home town). The funny thing was that I ordered 1 kosong, 1 cheese prata, and baby didn't have enough cash on him, only enough to buy 3 kosong and 1 egg... so when he came home, he took 1 slice of kraft cheese from our fridge, place it on top of my kosong prata, and put it in the oven to heat for a while. Lolx.. Ta Dah! there was my homemade cheese prata.. saves $ and tastes the same... Baby's full of such ideas~

Wanted to sleep early because both of us were freaking tired... but suddenly I remembered that I haven't done facial for some time... so I choose the Aloe Paper mask which I bought from The
Face Shop... cooling it was... hydrates my skin too.. Baby had to wait for me to sleep.. so I suggested he do facial too... since I bought the Mung Bean paper mask for him (for keeping skin clean and hydrated too).. haha.. both of us doing facial.. so funny...

---------------------

Haha! Baby reluctantly doing facial~

--------------------

Boh bian, I had to act cute with him~

-------------------

Today i had to make cold calls to interior designing companies to invite them to my our Carpet Exhibition cum Wine & Dine on 25th July evening. I really hate cold calling.. its like you have to call people you totally don't know and convince them to be interested in what you are trying to promote.

But luckily, for my case, we are trying to invite designers to attend our complementary party instead of selling our products to them.. so it was kind off easier. However, there were still some occasions where the receiver hung up on us even before we manage to speak.. thinking we are some kind of promoter selling products on the phone. I don't blame them for doing that, because i do that too... Heex..

Usually when I get anonymous calls, I will just say "it's ok, im not interested" and hang up on them immediately, especially when I know the promoter on the other side of the line is a PRC.. not that I wanna criticize on them or look down on them, but they cannot even speak proper English, and they want to promote products over the phone.. Cannot even understand what the f*ck they are trying to say man... and the worst thing is that they want to stop you from hanging up the phone but talking non-stop..

But I really respect those people who are working as full time tele-marketers... can you imagine they have to make cold calls every single working day of their life... omg~

Today I taught Baby had to work OT till 10 pm... so I told mama I will be going home for dinner... End up, baby's OT was canceled.. so he came to fetch me after work and we went home straight for mama's specialty bee hoon... yummy yummy it was indeed... especially with mama's homemade chilli sauce...

----------------
Yummy, baby even bother to display the veggies nicely...
---------------

Papa had to fix our antique clock, thanks to small siong~.. he was trying to help by adjusting the seconds hand(we have to do so for antique clocks once in awhile...), but I guess because he haven't done it for quite awhile... so he actually pulled the weights holding the seconds hand.. instead of pulling the chains of the seconds hand... haha...

---------------
Papa, caught in action~
-------------------

My dad is really a genius man... he can fix almost every thing that goes wrong in the house.. he can fix the air con, the tv, the fridge, the lights, the water heater, the door knobs, the water pipes, and even our antique clock.. even my two U grads siongs couldn't figure out how to fix the clock...

The parts of the clock after it was fixed back~

Our beautiful clock after being fixed back, chimes again!

Good Old Days~

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Lolx... So happy.. Cos i managed to get into contact with my secondary sch fren Sihui.. lost contact with her and the rest since after TP.. cos lost their contacts~... visited her blog : lamerhui.blogspot.

Heex.. shes now a web designer and im happy for her.. Also found out from sihui that our classmate, Shiying, is married with 1 baby boy now... can also check out her blog : welookgood2gether.blogspot

Wow.. learning about the changes and happenings of friends whom i didn't contact over the years really changes my point of view in life.. it makes me wonder why people's point of view in life changes so fast because of the people they meet, people they fell in love with, and people they get married to... and it makes me wonder when would i start to form a family (baby, me and our babies) of my own.. and whether we are too slow in moving forward because by the time we get married and move in to our new home.. i would be like 26?... and baby will be like 31?... i cant imagine being able to have a few more years of 2getherness "er ren si jie"... becos by then we wont have too many years to wait... if not i'll be overaged "gao lin chan fu" for giving birth...

Hmm... but we shouldn't always compare ourselves with others.. becos everyone has got their own troubles, their target in life, dreams and prospects to achieve... as long as you are happy.. it doesn't matter wat others think and wat others have then you don't.....

Will be catching up with my secondary frens one of these days.. find out whats going on in their lives, and also share my happiness with baby... heez...

Back to my happenings... yesterday i sold $55,500 worth of carpets on my own... im so proud of myself man~ so happy! heez.. hope to have more of these days to come....

Went to Chomp Chomp last nite with Siong and Baby... its Siongs first time there since his return last month... he misses the yummy foods there... we bought so much food, like our fav stingray, kangkong, oyster omelette, satay bee hoon, fried prawn mee and not to mention chicky wings!!.... all ordered by siong... lolx... he really can eat man... and to finish our wonderful dinner.. Egg York Bean Curd!!... even ta bao some for mama and big siong too...

But there were some dissappointment in our food last nite.. cos we always dun remember which store sells the best seafood.. so siong randomly ordered the stingray n kangkong from the "behind stores" on the left row stores... the stingray was only so so.. and the kangkong was a great dissapointment, becos it was bitter and it tastes no sambal at all... wat the!... kangkong was my fav and they cook until so lousy... we will never buy from the "behind stores" anymore.. if you want to eat delicious bbq seafood at chomp chomp.. must buy from 1st store on the left row.. or buy from the one right after the first store.. i remember its with black signboard~....

Siong was talking about the sub-standards in foods.. especially after the place gets renovated... a good example is Newton Circus... there used to be some real nice food from some particular stores... but after the recent renovations... newton was revamped and the stores are all mixed around... i went there and couldn't find the same stores i used to patronize in the past... and the worst thing is that which ever store u pass by... the store holders are touting... like damn desperates... but also cant blame them... becos theres too many similar stores there.. especially bbq seafood.. but one unpleasing factor is that... the prices have gone up... way too much...

So for us... the "serangooners"... we still prefer Chomp Chomp rather then Newton Circus....

Im so happy... tonight we are going bowling!... Hope ah sui will be able to reserve some lanes in advance so that we don't have to wait~.... Yipee~

My camera Usb cable!!...Baby away @ Ubin =(

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Im so angry with my siong siong... I lent him my camera during mama's trip the states... and he carried on using it until he return last week.... i have already reminded him several times not to forget to bring my camera, charger and cable back, becos i know my brother well.. he tends to forget... end up... he really left my cable in the states...

How am i supposed to load my photos into my pc?!?!?.... Argh... Baby tried to console me by suggesting to go sim lim square to look for a compatible cable... however, on tuesday, when we went to J8 for our dinner.. we went to the sony gallery @ level 2 and found out that they actually don't sell spare cables for sony cameras... huh?... then how?!?!?... i totally freaked out... then we went to the PC shop jus next door to sony.. and the staff says that they do sell cables for sony cameras.. but not original ones and it may have errors while using as it is not exactly totally compatible...

I was totally sian liao... got very fustrated with my brother and keep venting my anger on Baby.. sori baby... i didn't meant to do so... dun be angry okie?...

Luckily mama suggested that siong ask him house mate, who is still staying in the states now and will be coming back end of this month, to go to siong's room to check if he left any cables there... and to our relief... it was really there, and he will be bringing it back to Spore end of july...

Heng ah!~... yeh... i can finally load my pics into my pc liao... took so many pictures but couldn't load them in...

Yesterday was relax wed again.... heez i call it relaxing becos its my half day on every wed... can slp till late late then work from 2 - 7pm... i went to Toa Payoh to meet Baby becos his volleyball practise is at balestier/toapayoh...

We went to MOS Burger for our dinner... Heez.. Nice Nice.. I had my fav Spicy Mos burger... and Baby had the special Shrimp Burger.. it was advertised as a "back by demand" burger special for their 15th anniversary... the burger looked so tempting in the poster.. and he shrimp patty even had full shrimps inside.. we wanted to prove that there were really full shrimps inside.. and to our expectations, from the first bite, there really were large chunks of shrimps inside... yummy yummy, its a must try!.. we also ordered my favourite butterfly shrimps and baby also ordered the frozen strawberries for me... Heez.. the strawberries were so Nice!!!...its like strawberry stuffed with strawberry ice cream.. and coated in white chocolate.. then frozed up, if you love strawberry like me, i'll recommend that this is a must try!.. but not if you have sensitive teeth, cos it really freezes ur teeth and mouth, can't forget the feeling~ Heez

i took photos of these yummy foods...

Today Baby set off for Pulau Ubin early in the morning... its a Orientation Camp arranged by HDB for their newly recruited staffs.. its a 2 day 1 night camp at the Outward Bounds camp... Baby was pretty excited becos these kind of outing and activities are his favourite.

Early morning while I was still deeply fast asleep, baby gave me kisses as usual and set off to meet his colleagues at compass point. I woke up late for work, rather tired, and then looked at my phone.. =(

Baby haven't msg me that he reach Ubin liao... I tried calling but line engaged... i expected so, becos ubin might not have reception... I thought baby wouldn't be able to contact me during his stay liao.

But to my surprise, he msg during my lunch time and told me the reception there not very good, only certain areas can get through, and that he will call me in the night after his activities finish becos they have to lock up their phones liao... Heez.. so happy baby msg back... at least i know he is safe..

Looking forward to his call tonight to update me on his camp activities... Heex.. Miss u Baby~ Muacks~!!
