Our new car!

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Today I had to wake up earlier for work because I had a appointment with one of our designers and her client.
This appointment gave me the opportunity to see Singapore marina bay from a totally different point of view. It was actually at this new apartment, The Sail, located at Marina Boulevard.

What's awesome about it was that the client's penthouse was on the 68th floor. When you step into the apartment your attention would be on the whole stretch of full length windows. It was a breathtaking sight as you can see the whole CBD area, the Fullerton, the esplanade, and of course Sentosa. On top of that, the Singapore Flyer looks so short and minor to me.

Nice Scenery from 68th floor @ The Sail

One can really feel envious that the owner gets to see this beautiful sight every single day, especially when you imagine waking up to a beautiful scenery every morning, it just brightens your day. But of course a breathtaking price tag comes along with the breathtaking sight...

Sometimes I'm so glad that my job allows me to visit my client's homes and see how they beautifully decorate their homes. But, I still hate my boss, so I will still change my job asap. Wahaha!

Baby finally got his car today!! Yipee!!

there goes 2008... here comes 2009!!

Wow, two more days and 2008 is over.. I'm actually looking forward to a promising and brighter year ahead as I really want to make some changes in my life goals and prospects.

Will talk about my prospects and new year resolution in my next blog... Will be going to Lao da's place tomorrow night to celebrate his birthday, and also belated one for ambrose and dan. Then on new year's eve, we have BBQ at temple with my friends and family members.. Yeh!

Baby's car plate number is 2414. Didn't really like it when he told me, but we have no choice leh, because it's computer generated de, and if we want to bid for our preferred number, will need to spend $300 administration fee, and a minimum bid of $1000 for the number we want. Both of us feel that it's not worthwhile, and for this money, we could install another bodykit liao.

So, we will just stick to this number lor.. Anyway who cares about the number, it's just a car plate number after all... So eager for the car to be handled over to us... Should be these few days liao...

choco choco...late!

I've not been guai enough to blog as often lately.. There's so many things I want to blog about, but just don't seem to have the time.

Christmas day was nice and pleasant, spend whole evening at grandpa's place, tried the turkey that we bought from ntuc and it was actually quite nice, because it was prepared with seasoning and cook beforehand, and then vaccumed sealed and chilled to maintain the freshness.. Yummy yummy! I was trying the home style chocolate fondue with my little cousins, and it tasted as good as those we eat outside. You just need some dark chocolates and a pocerlein container with a candle below, and melt the chocs till they are gluey, but remember to add some fresh milk constantly as the chocs alone are too dry.. And wahlah! You have your homemade fondue.

Next time baby and I will get one set for our own home.. Yipee!

Christmas Together 2008~

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

The first 20 minutes of Christmas day just passed by... Merry Christmas to everyone I know and of course I've already said that to my Baby.

We went to have our dinner at Aston Express @ Serangoon Gardens. Mommy's shop is just 3 minutes walk away from that store but it's the first time we patronized it. Well, though we got alot of positive critics for this franchise branch of Aston, we found the food not as marvelous. We still preferred the Black Pepper Hot Plate Steak from the coffee shop beside Baby's office.

This year, everything for us is low key, not to mention this Christmas. We both decided not to waste money buying gifts for each other, because we buy surprise gifts for each other now and then, and we wanted to save more money now that we have a new car coming.

Last week we ordered a turkey set from NTUC, and intended to have a Christmas feast at home on Christmas day itself. But mommy suggested we bring along the Turkey to Grandpa's home to celebrate with my aunties and uncles. Well, we were all cool about it, thats the whole idea of Christmas, the more people the merrier, that's why we say Merry Christmas!

I guess when people reach the age of maturity, we tend to not go to places which are crowded, or noisy, especially during festive periods. In the past we would go clubbing, ktv, or orchard road and squeeze with others for the countdown party, but now, we basically just avoid places like that. Well, others can say that we are "old" liao, but I don't see anything wrong about that.

I feel that it doesn't matter how people think about what you do, or say, or decide with things in life. What's important is that we are contented with our choices, with what we did, what we wanted, and things we achieved. It's the same logic with grabbing sand with your bare hands, the harder you try to squeeze your palms, the more sand flows out instead. If some things aren't ours', then just let it be~

bye bye kuku car....

Our intentions to change our car finally turned into reality. We went through time consuming application of the car loan for our new car, and then there was the bidding of COE. On top of that, baby had to post his old kuku car on the internet and try his luck in fetching a better price.

In the midst of all these applications, trying and waiting, we did once gave up the thought of buying the new car. PaPä kept discouraging us as he thinks that we can wait till the car prices drop again. We were confused, excited, fustrated and then annoyed. Then, the papers published the announcement of back being more strict with car loans, and the increament of interst rates.

We were given the choice to buy the car with our already approved bank loan and lower interest rate, get cash back from our dealer and enjoy the special priced advante, or, we could give up the thought of buying a new car for years to come.

Well, we had to change our car from off peak to normal, and we found a buyer who's willing to offer a higher price than our dealer, so we went ahead with our initial plans.

Its very likely that we won't be getting our new car by this month, but our buyer for our old kuku car wants to deal in the shortest time possible. So off goes our kuku car today.... It was pretty last minute for the handover, because we wanted to use our kuku car over the Christmas holidays. Baby had to clear our kukus and barangs yesterday, and I couldn't help him because I had to attend my company dinner.

When we had the car, I always complained that it was a off peak car, and I didn't really loved the color, red. But now that the car has been handed over, I feel very sad, and couldn't bare the thought that it belongs to some stranger. My kukus are homeless now, and their new home will only be ready only probably in 2 to 3 weeks.

I miss our old kuku car, because it was our first car together, but baby say the new car will be bigger, more energy saving, and it's not black liao.. =( I miss kuku..!!

Ip Man

Last night baby and I went to watch Ip Man (Ye When).

Initially I wasn't so keen in watching this movie because I didn't know who exactly ip man was and what the story was about. But baby told me ip man is actually Bruce lee's coach, and it's a true story inspired movie, on top of that, the main actor was our idol Donnie Yen.

It turned out to be a terrific, inspiring, touching, exciting and thrilling movie. Both of us was so glad and satisfied that we went to watch this movie.

Till now my mind still cannot move on from the scenes when master ip heroically defend his wife from the baddies Japanese soldiers, to the time master ip fought with the Japanese general, and got shot in his shoulder after he won. Thank god he didn't die and managed to escape from Fo Shan to Hong kong to live a new life and fulfil his life long dreams.

I truely admire the way he respected his wife, and his calm character towards every situation. The sense of satisfaction you get from this movie is that it's not a legend or myth, it's about the true life story of a inspiring heroic man who has his own set of martial skills known as Yong Chin Quan.

This movie will definately be our all time favourites.

The movie is adapted from the life story of Ip Man, the grand master of the Wing Chun style of Kung Fu and Sifu (master) of legendary Kung Fu superstar Bruce Lee.

Ip Man - martial arts unyielding follower, whole-heartedly devotee to the free learning of Wushu. The fight to be top between the Wushu schools in the southern and northern regions of China did not stop him from goodwill matches with other practitioners. Nationalistic bad feelings and racial hatred did not lessen his respect for Japanese Kung Fu warriors. In a great era of hate and tragedies, Ip focused only on Wushu. His enthusiasm for martial arts saw led to devastating street fights with various elite practitioners.

To this date, neither movies nor publications about Ip Man exist. This movie is the first important record of the masters life. Ips persistent devotion to Wing Chun is a classic example of the love and respect for Wushu and the freedom and spirit it represents.

I need a job!

It has been a tedious crazy week for me. It is confirmed that my fucker superior is really a true crazy out of mind fucker! Who ever I talked about what happened to me agreed that my superior was really very ridiculous and plain insane!!!

My patience has reached it's limit, just like the water over boiling and the kettle screeching at the top of it's voice. I'm seriously job hunting now, will be very difficult due to the economic crisis, but I have the support from my family, friends, my baby, and even my close colleagues. Our secretary told me that she found it amazing that I can tahan until today... And the senior colleagues said that I am another victim being forced out of the company by that fucker.

Christmas is just a week away and I won't let that idiot's insanity spoil my holiday mood. I will just go to work, finish my work, leave on time until I find a new job, kick his ass and say good bye fucker!!

Not sure how we are celebrating Christmas, but hanging out with my family and baby at home is the kind of thing I like to do.

But anyway we already have alot of programmes lined up for the coming week...

I must remind myself to blog, because I tend to delay too many days and forget what I want to blog about in the first place.

oh, it's a girl!

A long weekend just passed by, a long weekend indeed. Except for Saturday, I had to work everday. Sometimes I just find it unfair why others can enjoy their holidays, while I still have work. But when I awake to reality, it's hard not to remind myself that every job has got it's "happy" and "unhappy" factor, "fairness" and "unfairness".

We must be contented with what we have, but also, in our part, find ways to improve our lives.

We went to Cheri Kids to buy gifts for my new born niece amanda. When we stepped into the shop, there were so many things we wanted to buy, all so adorable and tiny. There were some ready wrapped hampers displayed, but I didn't liked any of them. So baby and I hand picked every item, to make our very own baby shower gift hamper. I choose a minnie mouse soft toy as the icing on the cake because she was born in the year of rat, and the pink minnie mouse just matched my pinkie hamper.

We really spent a long time in the shop, but we were both so happy and thrilled. It's so amazing the number of stuffs you can get for kids.

Amanda baby shower is this Sunday, so looking forward for the day, meanwhile, we will be quite busy these few days.

Steaky Day~

Yesterday I went for a meet up interview at JAC recruitment.

The company is a multi national japan based recruitment agency. Very large and impressive office I would say, hope that they get me a new job soon.
Actually a part of me can't bare to leave my current company, but another part of me wants to wait for the year end bonus before I leave. Hmm, I guess such mentality comes to you when you desperately want to leave your sucky company but on the other hand fully utilize their benefits... Haha

After work, baby brought me to the coffee shop opposite his office to try the black pepper steak hot plate which he sees many people eating everyday. It turned out great!
The steak was a thick slice, and along with it was fries, mashpotato, brocolli, carrot, a koropoke, and alot alot of very tasty black pepper sauce. The sauce tasted so nice, seems like the uncle cooked the sauce with lots of onion for a very long time, as most of the onion melted into the sauce. Yummy!

The Steak was really worth the price, only @ $10.

Today, I made a breakthrough! I went jogging with baby after work. I think the last time I jogged was 2-3 years back, but baby was so sweet, because I told him my stamina wasn't very good, he taught me to jog at my comfortable pace and he was by my side encouraging all the time.

I know this isn't very easy for a jogger like baby. He loves to jog, and does very well, which is a known fact for everybody who knows him. So I know it's not easy to slow down his own pace to accomodate to me. He was thrilled when I initiated for the jog, and planned for us to jog often weekly, then I can slowly increase my pace and jog for more kilometers as time goes.. Yeh! Go go go!

ikea day

This morning we woke up like around 11am, and baby still wanted to laze in bed. For me, I can't really fall asleep again after waking up near lunch hour, so evil me dragged baby out of bed and to go out to have our brunch.

We went to that Amk market to have our vegetarian bee hoon with lots of crispies, and then went for walk walk around Amk searching for my melody sticker but in avail.
We went home after that and I waited at home while baby fetch his dad to his grandma's house at woodlands.

After baby returned, we got ready for our ikea window shopping. We always loved shopping at ikea because they sell almost everything from furniture, home decors, down to rugs and picture frames. I love all these stuff, and these just keeps me awake and energetic. I can go rounds and rounds looking at the items and visualizing how I'll decorate our home in the near future. I really love home decorating, and enjoy the sense of satisfaction for creating a beautiful and cosy home.

We had Swiss meatballs and fried chicken wings for our dinner at ikea. There are always so many people at the ikea eatery, I guess everybody liked their Swiss meatballs.
End up, we spent 3 hours there and our damage was $7.20. We got a small stool, some glasses(I broke one a few weeks ago) and also hangers for my over loaded closet. It was a fruitful day for us, even though simple but I really enjoyed myself. =)

Here are some photos I took of Baby when he was opening his Brown Rice Hamper (which he won from HDB) and also wearing his new spectacles~ Cute!

Ooh...Harry Porter look alike~

Brown rice winner...haha.. I hate brown rice!

Orr...doesn't he look cute in this new look~

Baby is always so photogenic =)

watcha cooking?

Last night baby was helping me in the kitchen with cooking.. We went home right after work to cook ourselves a sumptous dinner of spaghetti! Yummy yummy, we cooked mommy's share too, and she liked it. Heez

I have to go find some nice cookbooks to explore new recipes and sharpen my cooking skills so that I can cook more healthy and nice food for baby.

We went for fish steamboat at our favorite place kovan. That coffee shop is famous for their fish steamboat, and every evening you will see the whole place packed with customers.

Their fish soup base is always so sweet. Not the normal kind of sweet I'm talking about. It's a term we Chinese describe for soups that has a rich taste of it's ingredients. Usually chinese are very particular about soups. My mommy always says that drinking soup everyday is good for our health and complexion. This is quite true because during the process of "brewing" soups, the essence of the ingredients goes into being the soup base, making the soup richly in taste. In the past, I didn't appreciate when my mommy cook soups for me, and sometimes I don't even drink them. But now that I know that my mom took all the effort in cooking soups for me, I drink them every day and thank her for cooking for me. Not everyone has the priviledge of having nice soups to drink everyday, and I'm very thankful for the 'priviledges' I get everyday.

hopes for a change in life..

Today I overslept again... Had to bathe fast fast.. Than chiong out take cab.

Sometimes I wonder how I'll be able to cope if I were to find a 8-5pm job.. Cause my working hours have been around 10am for the past few years, I'm afraid my body can't adjust to waking up at the wee hours.. But well.. If I were to find a new job, I'll work my butts out to adjust to the timing..

Talk about finding new job, today the recruitment agent called me to arrange for an interview because she had a suitable job in mind for me when she saw my resume, and the most important point is that it meets my salary requirement. Well, I'm trying not to give myself too high hopes as baby always reminds me that the the higher hopes I have, the greater disappointment I get when things don't work out. I'll just keep my fingers crossed for now....

We went to hougang plaza to have hotplate steak and to look for my melody sticker.. hotplate was terrific, but didn't manage to find my melody...

This week seemed to go by very fast.. Didn't realize it's Friday tomorrow.. Hope to have a great weekend ahead!

Hokkaido... ichiban!

Cousin just returned from her japan-Hokkaido trip and bought lots of goodies for us! Mochis, dried scallop, chocolates packed in beautiful wrappers... Yummy n feast for the eyes too.. The tiramisu almond chocolate was my favourite! Mommy bought it during her japan trip last year too, but was restricted to only one pack by siong.. Hate him..=p

Wouldn't it be great if our honeymoon was at japan too! Baby will be thrilled! Especially with all those fresh sashimi and sushi he loves!

Today we went to kovan after work because I gave baby my Emporior Armani spectacle and he went to do the lense to match his degree. I feel so stupid buying the spectacle.. Spend so much yet never wear at all, the frame was too big for my face.. Didn't quite like it after wearing for a week..

Well, I intend to do LASIK, so no more new spectacle for me liao.. Baby is checking out where I can do lasik for more affordable price.. Till now, we have short list 'the lasik surgery' and 'gleneagles'.. Think I will go do some researh and also get feedbacks from friends who have done lasik liao..

I'm so stuffed right now.. Having ate kuay chap and drinking my favourite honey milk tea with pearl... Burp!... Ops!

human..

Human.. They appear in various shapes, sizes, styles, genders, and generally, characters.

Probably due to the nature of my jobs, I get to meet people from different walks of life, and boy do they amaze me. I was telling Nila, my colleague, today that I really met so many strange people over the years working in the jewellery sales line. The most vivid one was this uncle strange mid age uncle coming to kovan, to look at me n bio me when I'm working. I didn't realized that until one day, his wife actually came to my shop and spoke to me. She was telling me that her husband goes to kovan everyday to spy on me, even if he has to work, he will go there after work just to take a look at me.

Initially I thought she was some crazy woman who was dumped by her husband, and goes around warning people whom she thinks is her husband's type. But her daughter, about a few years younger then me, was with the woman, trying to convince me that they weren't some syndicate or scandler people. The woman even showed me her husband's photo so that I can be wary of him when I see him.

After that day, I really saw that uncle everday I work.. Walking around the mall and standing opposite my shop, looking at me when I didn't notice... Baby was so worried that he even wanted to confront that uncle.. Haha.. I just took everything easy.. As long as he doesn't follow me home.. Luckily I was eventually transferred to bugis branch a few months later...

Today one of our old client came to the showroom and was telling boss that he got sued by a lady because of his dog. There were question marks above our head when he said that. So he explained the story... He was walking his dog in a park and his dog barked at one Singapore lady. She fell down, had some minor cuts on her hand. Than she stode up on her own, took out her mobile, and dialled for ambulance herself. Then after the incident she sued our client for $16000. Lame right?
But the client then explained that she was actually a lawyer... And we all said "oh.."

Well.. The lady must be some evil hearted person, because I saw the cute cute cute dog, and she was such a baby, eventhough huge in size, but she was so guai and allowing us to take photos of her.

The client told us he was returning to the states after staying in singapore for 7 years, and the incident played a tiny part in convincing himself to return home....

Are Singaporeans really so scary?.....???

Yeh! I got my iPhone!!

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Yeh..!! Muah finally got me iphone 3G 16GB! ...and it's FREE!!

Actually not totally free lah, cos we had to sign a 2 year contract with singtel.... nowander siong found it strange when I told him we will get a iPhone totoally free when the guy called me and check if we wanted to sign contract for our singnet broadband. But well....I still got it cos Baby signed line for me... Heez... not exactly for me lah, cos he needed a new line too, just sign alittle earlier than planned.

I'm so excited now, have to download loads of stuff onto my mobile ... wahaha!! Yesterday we went to test drive Hyundai Advante, because we are planning to buy new car, and Baby wanted to test drive first. Actually we already made up our minds to get the car liao, even got Nancy, the car dealer lady to apply the car loan for Baby liao. Then suddenly, today Papa told us not to buy that car, and showed us the new advertisment by Toyota. They are also selling their new phrase Toyota Vios at special price. Than papa commanded us not to buy before he approves..... it's quite fustrating because Papa likes to have a say in us buying what car and what color, manual or auto... but in the first place it's Baby paying for the car neh... not Papa.... Mommy should also be changing her car too, now that COE dropped to $2. Later Baby will be accompanying mommy to Borneo Motors to view and test drive the vios, and as for Mommy, think she will just buy the new Altis immediately.

Last night we went to Cathay @ AMK Hub to watch Madagasca 2. Then after that, we were attracted to the sweet jackpot machine in the arcade. We contemplated on whether to play or not, because we weren't really going for the jackpot prize, or those lousy quality sweets, we wanted to enjoy the process of winning... End up we spent like 30 bucks on one huge bag of sweets and a jackpot prize - Christmas Stitch. Heez... waste of money but both of us were really very happy.

There was once I was watching Criminal Minds on channel 5, it was a scene at a funfair, and a officer made a comment of "how do these funfairs survive over the years, who comes to these funfairs anyway?". The other officer commented that these funfairs are actually doing very well, in fact making lots of money, and to everybody's surprise, the patrons who actually pay $10 to win a $2 soft toys are man. They are the silly ones who will spend the money to make their partners happy or impressed. Hah! I thought that was funny.... Guys are "so smart"...

It seems like lots of stuff are going on at the same time, kind of over the top but I still can handle ba~

Shitty Girl~

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

We went to Paradise On Earth for our dinner on Tuesday night with Lao Da and gang~ I didn't really ate much, to my surprise~ I was mainly eating golden mushroom, lots and lots of it, and drank lots of lime juice. End up, I woke up to a bad tummy ache in the middle of the night. Had a great 'flush', and went back to sleep feeling sicky~ Baby called me shitty girl, heez... cos he is shitty boy~ But....who doesn't shit man?~~

It has been an hectic week, been thinking and pondering about the same issues again and again... making my mind so tired. I think this is the problem with Pieces. We are born to imagine, we exaggerate by letting our imagination run wild, we are sensitive yet sometimes selfish, we worry too much, we are kind by nature by tend to appear evil, haha... we are faithful and expects our partner to be romantic and thoughtful, we are introverts and extroverts at the same time, we mind what others think but appear to not care when people pay attention to us...simply to say, we are siao~

Haha! This are the facts and actual analysis of a typical Pieces....its not just all about the good points you read about in those horoscope thingy. Which is more accurate, ask a Pieces like and you will never strike the wrong goal~

There's just so many things I wanna do, wanna say, wanna have, wanna buy, wanna own, wanna enjoy.... but everyone has got their limits. Who says life is fair~ Life is never fair ok! There is always that 'someone' out there that you will compare with, and he or she will always own that bag that life, that money, that car that bag, that shoe that you will want, and this just never ends. One will never be contented with what they already have, and we have got to live with this fact. But these are the things that 'drives' us to work hard and play hard, and never let our lives go to waste.

Well... enough of these 'ashley's theory' for today.... we have free Mio TV loh~... go watch free cable channels liao~

Every Girl's Dream

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Continued.....

The quality of the food at my cousin's wedding was terrific, comparable to that of Jumbo, or those famous seafood restaurant. The highlight of the night was the Sichuan Master, who was an expert in pouring tea from a tea pot with a long "mouth". The tea was nice too, filled with chrysanthemum flowers and many other herbs. However, both Siong and I were wondering how he was able to cope with handling 300-400 guests alone.

On a whole, the experience we had at that hotel was great, but the only concern was that the two ball room entrance were way too close and confusing for the guests. I am so happy for my cousin, as I know that she had been waiting for this day to arrive since how many years back. Its every girl's dream to have that wonderful and perfect wedding, to make sure that everything every detail goes correctly. I still remember what cousin told me when we were helping her change into her evening gown. She said "my mind just went blank the moment I step into the aisle, the only thing I could do was smile and smile".

This triggers me to wonder if this happens to majority of the brides, and that would it happen to me too. Well, one will never know till the day arrives.

Cousin should be in Hokkaido right now, freezing her nose, enjoying her honeymoon. So sweet of ah bong to give her last minute honeymoon surprise. I wonder where we will go on our own honeymoon. =p

There are so many conincidence in life, especially after I met Baby. Whenever we attend some major events, he meets people he knows. Like my cousin in law being Baby's poly classmate, he meeting his primary classmate during ah pei's wedding last year, and this time, the other bride who was having her wedding next to my cousin's ballroom was actually Baby's ex-colleague from SMRT. Well.... Baby has so many friends~

Well, there are several photos we took during cousin's wedding and they are all with my friends... I'll post them when I receive them.

Enjoy your honeymoon cousin!! =)

Breakfast is Important!!

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

'Importance of having Breakfast'

Breakfast can help prevent strokes, heart attack and sudden death. Advice on not to skip breakfast!

For those who always skip breakfast, you should stop that habit now! You've heard many times that 'Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.' Now, recent research confirms that one of the worst practices you can develop may be avoiding breakfast.

Why?
Because the frequency of heart attack, sudden death, and stroke peaks between 6.00am. and noon, with the highest incidence being between 8.00am. and 10.00a.m. What mechanism within the body could account for this significant jump in sudden death in the early morning hours?

We may have an answer.
Platelet, tiny elements in the blood that keep us from bleeding to death if we get a cut, can clump together inside our arteries due to cholesterol or laque buildup in the artery lining. It is in the morning hours that platelets become the most activated and tend to form these internal blood clots at the greatest frequency. However, eating even a very light breakfast prevents the morning platelet activation that is associated with heart attacks and strokes.

Studies performed at Memorial University in St.Johns, Newfoundland found that eating a light, very low-fat breakfast was critical in modifying the morning platelet activation. Subjects in the study consumed either low-fat or fat-free yogurt, orange juice, fruit, and a source of protein coming from yogurt or fat-free milk. So if you skip breakfast, it's important that you change this practice immediately in light of this research. Develop a simple plan to eat cereal, such as oatmeal or Bran Flakes, along with six ounces of grape juice or orange juice, and perhaps a piece of fruit. This simple plan will keep your platelets from sticking together, keep blood clots away from forming, and perhaps head off a potential Heart Attack or stroke. So never ever skip breakfast.....!!

This was the email baby forwarded to me today. He always nagged about the importance of breakfast and that I shouldn't skip mine even if I don't have the time to due to work. Even a small piece of biscuit stuffed in my mouth in the early morning would do me good. Well, in the past I always skipped my breakfasts because of my previous job. Now, every morning I make it a point to prepare myself a simple breakfast of buns or sandwiche, if not, some biscuits to "warm up" my body and prepare myself for the day.

Have you had yours today?.... Its never too late to start a good habit!

Congrats Cousin!

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Yesterday turned out great! We all woke up damn early in the morning, like 5am? I only managed to sleep at about 2am, so that makes it 3 hours of sleep, and a panda ashley~

I went to cousin joey's place, which was 2 levels under my own, and the make up artist just started putting on make up for her. Heez, cousin looked gorgeous, well, which bride doesn't? But it was exceptional for cousin as she usually doesn't wear make up or wear skirt. All of her colleagues were amazed at how she looked with full make up and 3 inch heels.

Our friends, ah dua, ah sui, ah pei and ah mei together with their partners, reached only slightly later than me, and we were all so excited, discussing how to torture those guys later. After cousin was finished with her make up, we were all eagerly taking photos. The photographer uncle was kind of crappy, and we were all sniggering at his cold jokes behind his back. Really never seen anyone as lame as him. we took the 'consecutive 5 shots' with cousin, heez, we were all acting cute, but it was all fun and laughter.

The groom, Mr. Bong, reached kind of on the dot, and we knew it was on purpose; because they know we can't stall time and had to let them in. We actually planned our tricks quite well, and we were nice to not have those drinking and running around 12 levels to find red threads kind of tricks. Ours were simple and meaningful, asking them to blow 15 balloons and tie around the groom's wrist, forming sentences with ginko nuts and crack open with their bare hands, and concentrated ribena ice pop with the door key in the middle.

Well, though our plan was flawless, we didn't have the time to carry out everything. Because by the time they reached, we only had 5 minutes to play. So the balloons were reduced to 5, and we asked them to burst it with their bare hands instead. Ribena ice pop wasn't very well done, as it was too concentrated, the ice didn't hold together. Ginko nuts were simple, just forming the sentence 'I love Joey' and asking the groom to shout out loud to let cousin hear him. Well, but we did have a "fierce" battle for our ang bao. Heez, there were 10 of us, and we were given $888. Not bad lah hor... not too hard on my new cousin in law.

The bridal cars were all sponsored by cousin's boss, 4 Mercedes, they said it was special class type, not the standard big small eyes version. I happen to sit in the sporty one, chauffeured by cousin's boss himself. He was quite young for a boss, and funny and cheeky one too. So nice to know cousin is well taken care of with such good boss. She was really lucky, because her husband works in the same office as her too. They are engineers.

The morning customs ended at about 12.30pm. We had our buffet lunch and headed back home to have some beauty sleep before we headed for the hotel. Cousin Berry met me at our void deck, and we set off to fetch the guys, ah chai ah di, ah yi and wei hua. Baby had to go to work from 2-6pm, so he is meeting us directly at the hotel.

Dinner was at Park Royal Hotel on Beach Road. It was my first time going to this hotel, and it didn't occur to me that it existed too. It's location was kind of not obvious when you are on the road, as the from view was blocked by trees and a bus stop. It was situated just next to Concourse. The first impression of the hotel was actually not bad. Quite posh I would say, and service was great. Hotel room was comparable to Meridian, and the breakfast was catered on the same level as the rooms. Very convenient and has more privacy for the guests.

There were two ballrooms, named Grand and Stamford Ballroom. Cousin's was in Stamford, which was also named Si Chuan Dou Hua (bean curd) restaurant. The entrances of these two ballrooms were very close to each other. Thats my only concern for this hotel actually. The entrances were too closed liao, and the cocktail lounge was shared. So when most of the guest arrived, the place was packed with people, and there were several guest who checked in at the wrong reception. I was helping out at the reception, and we encountered a few guest from the other side checking in at ours and it was quite embarrasing when they found out that they were at the wrong side.

The food was great, everyone else thought so. The cold dish was quite unique as it was with a touch of japanese style, and one of the dishes was chilli crab with fired bun. Yummy!

Little Black Dress

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

I've been pondering what exactly to wear for cousin's wedding dinner for over a month, but decided to go with a little halter neck black dress that I already have. I found out from my friends that they happen to be wearing black too, such a coincidence... Well, as people say, a little black dress will never go wrong, why crack our brains to find something unique but not too expensive. We just have to top off our dresses with a nice accessory, and voala! that will do the job!

I managed to find a nice pair of earring unintentionally, as this shop at kovan, when we went for our dinner on Sunday. Baby said it was nice, and I liked it too, so why not?.... This way I don't have to worry liao~

Yesterday in office, we were chatting about getting leave for CNY, and my colleagues already submit their leave form liao... Because they will be flying back to Indonesia for their new year. Well, time really flies, a month later it will be Christmas, and then New Year will arrive. I'll most probably take half day leave on the third day of new year, as it happens to be Wednesday, then go back to work on Thursday. I guess it should be alright...

This week is going by rather fast, excited for cousin, wedding is just few days away, and we will be having 'hans' night on Friday night, but of cause not going to clubbing or what, our style is gathering at her home, which is 2 levels down mine... heez~ Will be dinner together with friends and close relatives, and I like that! =)

Chocolates make my day!

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

On Saturday, after meeting cousin joey at vivo, we went to Paris Bijoux to look for any suitable necklaces, however their shop was rather small, and there wasn't anything suitable actually. So end up we went to Takashimaya to shop at their department store as I remember there are lots of counters selling costume jewels. Luckily, we managed to find a bracelet cousin liked, but ended up not buying necklace as she could use the ones the bridal package included.

Cousin needed to get many stuffs, new pajamas, new towels, new undies and new toilet accessories. So we went to Muji at Paragon, where she can get everything she needed. There are just so much details that didn't occur to me when it comes to wedding necessities shopping. Shopping with cousin can be quite tiring as she walks very fast, and usually doesn't trace off to other stuff. Its like get down to business, and she only enters shops that has what she wants. Luckily I got to go Candy Empire,(my first time there) to get some chocolates for Baby, wow they have so much to choose from, and I got almost every flavor from the stand that sells loosely.

Chocolates just makes my day, even if my dinner wasn't nice, having a new creamy or minty chocolate makes me contented. I'm a dessert person, and I usually eat less for my meals, in order to leave some space for a new dessert of brownie topped with vanilla ice cream, or oreo cheesecake. Baby always nags about eating dessert as they are really fattening, but end up he is the one eating most of it.... Heez~

Weddings!

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

So sad, today Baby last minute have to work ot from 6-10pm... What a stupid timing man~ Luckily I'll be meeting cousin Joey to go shopping at Vivo. She is getting married next week, and having her dinner at Park Royal Hotel. Today we will be shopping for her accessories as she haven't bought any to match her gowns yet. Our friend, Ah Pei, recommended us to go Vivo, because she got her accessories there too... but still not too sure which boutique is it.

I'll probably see if I can find any nice earrings to match with my halter neck gown, because I practically have nothing in my accessories collection to match with it. Heez... waste money again I guess... I'll also pay a visit at Candy Empire and see if there are any interestng candies I can buy for Baby.

Next Saturday Baby was supposed to work OT during the morning, which sucks man.. Cos I'll be my cousin's 'sister', and Baby was supposed to be there too with the rest of the 'brothers'.. Luckily his senior allowed him to change his ot shift to afternoon from 2-6pm, so he can join in the fun before going to work. But I'm only afraid Baby will be damn tired by end of the day, as he still has to rush to the hotel to meet us after his work. Poor Baby~ I'll sayang you more ok~

I'm so excited for my cousin, as I know she have been waiting for this day for so long.. =)

Yesterday I heard a shocking news... a cousin of mine (we don't contact, basically only see each other during cny) has a 1 year old Baby already. Their family practically hide the truth from every relative because they felt ashamed that their daughter got pregnant before getting married. Some more the guy is a china guy, who is now staying in their already very small home. Mommy was like telling me this news and advising me to not be like them as it will disgrace the family. She even ask if we can get married earlier..... actually I also want to, but we need time to save up the money for the banquet, bridal package, our house and so much more that we will expect, some more our house won't be ready before 2011, can't expect us to get married and still stay in our parent's house right~

Aiyo... Mommy is thinking too much liao... But actually I feel that there isn't anything to be ashamed of. It's what century liao, such things are what we call norm liao.. I already have so many ex schoolmates whom I know with such situation. They should that it as a blessing as a new life is brought into the world, and there are some people yarns to have kids but have problem conceiving..

We should be happy for my cousin, but just kind of disappointed that they hide the truth even from their relative. Well... at least we know for sure one quote is always right "paper can't wrap fire"....

No grand ROM....

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Yesterday Baby and I were discussing about our budget plan for our ROM on 2010, and I realized that making it too grand will cost us a bomb. Thus I'm deciding to hold it as a simple lunch gathering for close family members and close friends, probably only about 30 odd people I guess..

We have come to such consensus as we have to allocate our savings money to other areas which we think are more worth while. Mommy also suggested that we should save on the ROM and not invite too many people, because for certain people's mindset, they will dislike the idea of being invited for both ROM and Wedding Dinner as they have to give double ang bao. Of cause I know this kind of mindset is very old fashion, but mommy still has got her point there.

Baby was pleased with the idea when I initiated this topic, and said that many of his colleagues and friends also suggest not to spend too much money on just ROM itself. I still have to plan where and how we can make it simple but glam, and my tentative plan is to hold it during lunch time at some nice restaurant as the day would fall on a Sunday.

Baby was telling me his colleague went to Malaysia last week to recee on the prices of bridal packages and they range at about only $2.4k to $3k, which includes almost everything you need from ROM gown, actual day wedding gown, posh car, to photo shooting at Bali... They provide comparable services to Bridal shops in Spore, some even better, but at lower prices. Thus we may consider signing a package in Malaysia, but probably will ask for recommendations from friends who have experiences.

Lately I have been wondering if I should wear my solitaire ring everyday, as usually people will wear their proposal ring all the time, once your partner has popped the question. But sometimes its still quite troublesome to wear the ring everyday as I tend to hit it against something when I'm working. Well... heck la, Baby spend so much money buy this solitaire for me, I should show some appreciation by wearing it right?...

Last night mommy was having headache, so I helped her do some massage with my huge lollipop sticks and turtle massager, luckily mommy felt better =)
The other day I was watching this show by mediacorp, hosted by Quan Yi Feng and Christopher Lee. Its about volunteering to help clean up homes for people who really needs help in their life. I remember Yi Feng was saying this phrase "when you were young, your mom was the one who tucks you to bed in the middle of the night, but when you grow up, since when was the time you help your mom or dad tuck their blanket in the middle of the night". It was well said, and it strike me that it's not too late late to show how much you love you parents, and to show by actions and not just by words or keeping it to yourself. Try it if you haven't, may it be just helping them with simple chores or giving them a massage, your parents will really appreciate it.

Happy Birthday Siong!

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Today we are celebrating siong siong's brithday, belated birthday to be exact. Siong Siong's birthday falls on 28th of October, and we were supposed to celebrate for him as its his first birthday at home since he returned from the states. However, as it happened to be during grandma's wake during that day, so mom and I decided to celebrate for Siong today.

We had steamboat at home, and everyone enjoyed it as it was family style, healthier and more hygienic. Papa and ah gong enjoyed the food, and Siong too. Its a pity Fat siong isn't in Spore to enjoy the food with us. Siong opened his Ice Wine, Inniskillin 2006 VQA Niagara Peninsula VQA, the one which he bought in Canada. Ice wine is supposed to be accompanied with desserts, but I have to say, it's really freaking sweet lor.... More sweet than my Ribena man...

Anyway, when Ah gong was chatting with us this afternoon, he was like saying Daphne, my cousin in law, is giving birth to a baby girl this month. My cousin, Joey, is also getting married on the 15th this month. It's double happiness! But ah gong was asking Siong when he will be getting married, and was saying strange things like " don't know if I'll be still around when you children get married". We were all so shocked, and tried to stop ah gong from saying anymore unlucky things.

Ah gong is a very realistic and straight forward person, he says anything that runs through his mind. He even said "why not, I'm already 85 liao, how many years more can there be, Ah gong very old and weak liao". It's was sad to hear ah gong say such things, but we just tried to console him by saying "ah gong you will still live many many years de".

One can't help but think about death, especially when they start to grow old and see grey hair growing more and more, overtaking their originally beautiful black hair. We shouldn't be so pessimistic, we have to think on the bright side of life~

Today mommy told me they were distributing grandma's assets to everyone, but mommy wasn't around so grandpa help us take our share. But I was quite disappointed with some aunties and uncles as they were like eyeing on all those valuble stuff. There was one auntie of mine who happened to get grandma's rolex watch, and she went to the pawnshop to check the value immediately. When she found out the value was about $1800, she even commented that its was so low. OMG~ how can they be like that, its supposed to be given to us as a token and as a memento for us to keep, not to sell it and get the money to spend. They were really so materialistic... damn~

I got a few old coins and notes, and nice coin set which was released by the Singapore Mint on 2001. I will keep grandma's items in a nice spot in my drawer, and always remember that they were once held in grandma's palm, used by her, and kept in her drawer, thank you grandma~

Life still has to go on....

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

I would like to thank all my friends and relatives for consoling me over the lost of my grandma =)

Life still has to go on you know, I haven't had the time to blog since grandma's funeral ended. The memories of grandma cooking for us, asking us if we have eaten, and handing yakult to us is still so deeply embossed in my mind. I really regret not spending more time with grandma when she was still around, but she always still understands that we didn't do it on purpose.

I can still remember the day we send grandma off for the last time, my uncles were pushing the decorated 'ling' car with grandma's on it. Mama said that grandma really dotes on us, because during the "parade"of sending grandma off, it didn't rain, and it was cooling despite the fact that we send her off at about 3.30pm in the afternoon. The cremation was held at Mandai Crematorium and Columbian. I was glad that the adults chose that location, because it was a lovely and peaceful place, so that grandma can have a peaceful 'resting' environment after death.

The moments when the coffin was moving into the 'burning' area is still so fresh in my mind. We were all kept so far away from her as she was on the first level, and we were viewing the whole process from the viewing hall on a level above. Everyone were calling out for her when the coffin was finally moving into the automated cremating 'machine'. Mummy finally burst out into tears and was calling for grandma, and my heart really felt the ache as I knew mummy was so close to grandma, and she didn't cry for the whole funeral until now...

Grandma we love you, and you will always be in our hearts........

Grandma we will miss you...

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

On Sunday afternoon, grandma left peacefully at 4.04pm. I was working at that time, and we didn't get to be by her said during her last breathe. After my brother called me, I left my office immediately and went to grandma's house. We were all so upset. I cannot believe grandma has left us so quickly. We just went to visit her on Saturday evening, and I was thinking of visiting her after work on Sunday.

I can't blog so much now, we have to attend to the funeral and it ends on Thursday afternoon. Now these small things are the last thing we can do on our part for grandma's last journey~

hmm....

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Yes, indeed, it's another long weekend again... But a long weekend is never for me~ I still got to work on Sunday and Monday, what a job man~ I think I really need to spend some time considering what I really want to do. The number of hours we spend on our jobs mounts up to be more compared to the time we spend with our family, friends, or even at home. I truly believe that one must have a great amount, or at least certain kind of interest in their job in order to truly have that passion, that drive to wake up at such 'wee' hours everyday to go to the same place, and do the same thing over and over again.

It daunts me with the fact that some people can hate their job, but still survived on for years till the day they retire. A job to me must be of things that I have interest of, such as the merchandise that I get to see everyday, the people I get to meet, the colleagues I get to work with. I won't say that I have no interest in my job now, in fact I quite love what I get to do, such as designing carpets, selecting of colors, learning on interior design from all the designers I interact with. Of cause not to take into consideration the kind of people I work 'for'. They are the ones who kills my day by piling up so much work on my desk, and still expects me to finish it within a few hours without anybody to help me.

Well, thank god I don't bring my dragged day into my personal life. After work its a totally different life for me, it's like saying "take two, andddd action!". I get to enjoy spending time with my loved ones, get to have a nice fulfilling dinner together, play games together, and do silly things like making silly faces, acting like kids, doing dirty dances to each other just to end up laughing at each other until our cheeks feel tired. Life is still there for us to discover, to embrace, and to treasure. Life isn't that bad after all~

Last night Mommy told me in a very calm manner that, "the doctor says that grandma's time is almost there". My heart was like bang! I said "almost, as in you mean really almost almost? like any day from now?". Mommy said yes, and reminded me to go visit grandma as often as I could. My mind was like blank, don't know what to say or how to react. I can see mommy putting on that strong front again, which just hurts my heart.

I will be visiting grandma later this evening, if not, will be tomorrow after work. I miss her~

I need a new job!!!!

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Yesterday, things really sucked at work... Kana scolded by my fucking lao ban for nothing.. Everybody in office also knew that he was making use of my little mistake to vent his anger to everyone in the office. What the fuck man! I've had enough of this liao... who do they think they are, foreigners in Singapore still want to ya ya papa ya, and they look down on Singaporeans like we are worthless..

I'm starting to search for new job again, and this time if I'm able to find any suitable ones before year end bonus comes, I'll also go man... Really cannot stand such a fucking company, no wander everyone who joined before me have left the company for a better brighter future liao. I'm just worried that due to the recession, there won't be good jobs with comparable pay, that are suitable to me. I'll probably have to forsake a higher pay and look for those that are lower, but only slightly lower ba.

When Baby found out I got scolded for nothing, he totally supported my decision of moving on. He knew how bad my working environment is, and how we are treated, so he also hopes for me to move on to a company with better aspects and staff benefits. I'm like so demoralized right now, having to look out for new job again and worrying everyday. Hai~ Baby told me to take it slowly, not to give myself too much stress and look out for opportunities everyday. Yeah~ He's right, finding a job is not a day or two thingy, some people take like months to search for the right job.

Sometimes I really admire friends of mine who work in great environments, with high pay, and have great colleagues. Of cause I know having good colleagues is not an easy thing because there are just so many different types of people out there to destroy each other in order to outshine others. But finding the right company is not impossible, because as long as you are willing to work hard, and truly strive hard, nothing is unachievable.

At the end of the day, one truly feels comforted with the fact that you have your loved ones waiting for you at home. They are there to comfort you when you are down, to cheer and celebrate for you when you achieved something, and to listen to every deep secrets you have to say and you don't have to worry that they will share it with others. I'm so glad that I have Baby, who is always there for me may it be during crisis, or when I have something wonderful to share. He always gives me a squeeze hug to perk me up, or open up his arms to me when I cry. He is my standing pillar, my best friend, my Baby. =)

P.S. I Love You

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Baby's competition didn't really went well for him, he didn't make it through to the semi finals. He said that there was a total of about 60 participants for the U Fame contest. They were all well prepared, with exaggerating costumes and performances. It was more multi racial too, with more than half the contestants being malays. Baby was rather "lucky", because they draw lots to see who sings first, and he drew lucky number 1. His performance was probably what we call, too 'predictable'. He was staring at the mini screen all the time while singing, which the judge felt uncomfortable, saying he didn't memorize his lyrics. Well.... it's okie~ He participated because he was drawn to the cash prizes. Didn't went through then forget it ba. You will always be my idol Baby~ =p

Last night we went to Mini Wok restaurant @ Novena Square for our dinner. The food was quite nice, similar to what you will get at Sakura Family Restaurant. The sell Halal Thai Chinese food, which was the kind I would fancy~

Anyway, after eating, we went to MPH to search for new interesting books to read. I love books that inspire people, help people self improve, and touch our hearts. I was looking around, searching for something that would catch my attention, while Baby was browsing the magazine corner, as usual. He loves reading magazine about the latest bikes, cars, technology, IT stuff and bla bla...

Baby loves riding, but because of me, he bought a car so that he can drive me around Singapore, to look for nice new food, or discover any romantic hideouts. Baby really did a lot of things for me ever since we were together. I'm like the demanding one, he is the sacrificing one. Seems like I'm the big bully, but actually I did ask if Baby mind my character, he said he doesn't, because he loves me the way I am. Baby always spoils me like a princess. Even my moms scolds me for bullying Baby~ Heez~

Anyway I came across this nice book P.S. I Love You by Cecelia Ahern. The inspiring book that turned into a movie starring Hilary Swank and Gerard Butler. I didn't have the time to watch the movie when it was screened in Singapore. I loved touching stories, especially how the Gery cared about Holly even after he died. I liked the book, and ask Baby if I should buy it. He immediately offered to buy it for me =) So sweet of Baby. This way I can read my book while he plays his psp. Yipee!

I started reading the book immediately in the store, and we stayed until the sales person pulled down the shutter, then we realized that they were closing. Baby quickly paid for my book, and we rushed off to Cold Storage to get some munchies~ I was craving for chocolate, and Baby chose a few varieties so that I will be spoilt with choices ... Heez~ I saw Kettles Chips on discount, so I grabbed one pack too. Kettles Chips were one of my favourite, because their chips were fresh and very original. But I don't buy them often because they were rather expensive. I loved the Salt Kissed flavor the most, because it has this pinch of salt to each chip, not too salty and doesn't over power the original taste of the potato.

I'm going to read my book le, shall end today's blog here~

Singing Coach....who me??!?!

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Yesterday I was forced to work overtime, to attend this function which was held at Orchard Hotel by the Hand Knotted Carpet Association and American Express. Because my director was the president of the HCA, they preferred more staff to attend to make it look more "impressive" for him...... Duh~ Waste of my time lor~

My plans to go walk walk with Baby after his volleyball practice was destroyed~~~ Argh~ Lucky we were allowed to leave half way, so Baby came to fetch me at around 9.30pm. Was so tired after reaching home, like as if I was lifting weights or dragging steel during work, my body was aching man~ Lucky Baby helped me massage before I went to sleep. Thanks Baby! =)

Right now I'm helping Baby practice his singing, because he is famous for forgetting his lyrics.... making a fool of himself~ hahahahahaha
He doesn't allow me to blog about his 'secret', which made me laugh for a good hour when he told me.... Lolx~

Well, I must say my Baby really has the gift for singing, many of my friends also thought so when we went singing together. He really captivates me when he is singing... Heez~
Anyway, tomorrow I can't accompany Baby to DXO for the preliminary round because I have to work. He liked the idea of going alone because he said that it's stressful with someone he knows looking at him sing on the stage. If I were there staring at him sing on the stage, he will just laugh his way through....

I will be his support, morally though~ Anyway I'm coaching him, making sure he doesn't forget his lyrics..... Making sure he doesn't go off tune or sing too fast or what ever could happen~ Baby chiong ah!!~

U Fame?

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

We went to HMV@Heeren after work on Wednesday, because baby wanted to source for some karaoke Dvds and Vcds for his "U Fame" preliminary contest on Saturday. Haha~ He participated this 'uncle' contest which is organized by NTUC Union. Basically, this is an event for members of Union to show off their "gifted voice".... at least that's what I know Baby has =p

Well, we went to Waruku for our dinner first to get ourselves prepared for digging all those racks filled with oldies~ Baby was focused on searching for Andy Lau's albums because his songs are the easiest. Hmm... well...that wasn't a very good idea, because we were restricted on 'only dvds or vcds' as that's the only type which can be used for karaoke. We had a hard time searching for albums which were suitable, because they were all of the latest songs. So I had to focus on compilations with oldies, luckily we managed to get a few variations of dvds which Baby thought were quite worthwhile and can be kept for our future mini KTV at home. Heez~ We both loved singing~

After getting Baby's discs, we walked around Heeren to see whats new there. To be honest, I haven't been to Heeren since like? 1 year? 2 year?..... There are like so much changes there, and I thought the revamp of the the highest floor was a right move, because Heeren used to be lacked with choices of nice restaurants.... Anyway, I was craving for cakes suddenly, so Baby suggested getting a slice from NYDC as take away, so we can enjoy a nice cake when we reach home. We chose the Banana Cake, which I thought looked a little like Secret Recipes Banana Chocolate. Hmm... It was too sweet tough after trying, but next time we will try other flavors in the mini cake version so that we can share it with the whole family, and is more worthwhile.

iPhone or not?

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

I have been making myself so busy for the last few days.... or probably I should say, lazing while I can and skipping blogging...

Remember that Baby and I wanted to get Samsung Omnia together because we both thought it was pretty awesome with all the functions and equipped with a very good camer?.... Well, Baby have been reading several reviews and getting feedbacks from friends who are Omnia users, and the comments were mainly negative. I also went to the forums, cNetasia, Hardware and read the reviews. Basically the phone isn't as awesome as it seems. Many users encounter the phone dieing on them within days of using, camera can work but you can't retrieve it after that, phone is on but the screen is all black, the touch screen isn't as sensitive as it appears to be, the battery life only lasts half a day, and it goes on and on ~

We were both quite shocked with all those reviews, and decided to abandon the idea of getting Omnia. So well, I will probably stick back to getting iPhone because it has all the functions which applies to my needs, even tough there is no mms and the camera is only 2mega pixels, it doesn't really matter to me. I'm using iMac at home, I use a iPod while I'm on the move, so well, a iPhone can't be that bad right?

The 'Very Moments' of our Life~

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

These are the photos we took on our special day~

This was the spot Baby proposed to me!

This was the lovely book Baby gave me~

He Proposed!!! !!! !!!

Agh!!!!!!!! Baby proposed to me!!!!!!!!

Yesterday was our 2nd anniversary. As planned, Baby went to fetch me after work at Orchard, and this time round, I didn't know where we were heading for our dinner. Baby wanted to keep me in suspense until the very last minute.

And yes, when I presented his present to him, Baby loved it. He liked the red color, and the design of the duffel bag. Heez~ Throughout the journey to Baby's secret dinner place, we passed by the route that we will usually take when going to Mount Faber. So I thought we could be going there.... But end up, he brought me to Marina @ Keppel Bay. It was my first time there even though I have heard about it several times. It's similar to the club known as One'15(one degree 15). Many rich people 'park' their yachts there, so generally there are will be bars and restaurants to cater to their pleasure. Baby brought me to Prive', which sells nice western cuisine and alcoholic drinks. Actually I already told Baby not to bring me to anymore posh restaurants on this year's anniversary, because I don't want him to spend too much $$, and it doesn't take expensive food to make the dinner romantic. But he wanted to surprise me, as usual, and wanted to make me feel like princess... Heez~

We had our nice dinner by sea side, sort of sea side lah, and we were able to see the beautiful night view of Carribean @ Keppel Bay. It's really a beautiful condo with it's building structure looking similar to the ones you find in actual Carribean. After having our dinner, we went to TCC on level 2 to have our nice mocha and Devils Chocolate cake. Yummy and very contented, and we were lucky we have the window table, and was able to have a nice view of the yachts and Keppel bridge. I thought after dessert we will be heading home when I can open my pressie~

Then Baby said he had part 2 programme of the night, and he wanted to bring me go somewhere walk walk. I thought he will bring me to Mount Faber, because it was our first dating spot 2 years back. Well, it was another surprise of the night, he brought me to Telok Blangah Hill Park, which was something new to me. He said there is this nice new bride there and its nice for walk walk. Alright, I didn't wear the correct shoe today for some hill climbing adventure, so initially I was kind of upset that I had to on those heels that are killing my feet. Baby was really sweet, he offered to carry me on his back up the hill.... Heez~ But I said it's okie lah, just walk faster, then the pain will end faster too.

Luckily it was just a short walk up the hill before we reached Henderson Wave Bridge. The view was beautiful in the night, and the whole bridge was made with wood, Baby said don't know from what kind of special tree. To my surprise, the wooden bridge was very new and very clean, so I took off my heels and walked bare footed! Feeling much better now, can enjoy the awesome night view without any pain~

We were walking and taking pictures with the Canon ixus 860 which Baby borrowed from his office. We didn't have ours because Papa borrowed our camera to China~ At first I thought we will just walk walk a bit, and take some pictures, look at the beautiful night scenery, then go home to enjoy our white wine that we bought at DFS. We completed like three quarter of the bridge and I was feeling exhausted, and Baby was sweating away too. I told him we should probably head back to the beginning of the bridge, since there is no point that we walk all the way to the end, then walk all the way back again. Baby wanted to finish the whole bridge, but I was too tired after a long day, so he said to rest awhile at a nice spot, take some more pictures, then we can head back.

There were quite a number of people on the bridge, but because of it's long and curvy, wavy structure, there were many 'blind spots' for couples to just sit there, and cuddle together. Baby waited for people to walk away, and was hugging me tightly~ just like those usual hugs we have to tell each other how much we are in love~

Then suddenly, to my biggest surprise ever, Baby knelled down and took out the solitaire ring and popped the important question "Will You Marry Me Baby?" ..... I was like in complete shock, my mind was kind of blank at that moment because I didn't saw all that coming so early. I was too blur to answer Baby's question, and he asked me "Will You?" again. I nodded my head and said yes, and he stood up to wear the ring for me.

I didn' really see all of this coming so soon, because I always thought I knew what was on Baby's mind, and he wouldn't be able to surprise me since I'm always too fast and smart to 'see through' his surprises. We planned to have our ROM on 10 10 2010, so I thought he will propose to me only like next year, or on 2010 itself.

I believe every girl hopes to have the 'perfect' proposal, and that most of them would imagine a romantic and perfect location where your beloved boy hands you a bouquet of flowers, and takes out that beautiful ring and ask you to marry him. Well, heck with that bouquet of flowers, and that imaginary romantic restaurant or location, whats most important is that both of you enjoys that "very moment". Though I didn't get a large bouquet of flowers, find my proposal ring in my mouth after eating a specially made dessert, or finds my ring in my champaign glass while drinking it (all these are common scenes in drama and movies), I loved the way Baby proposed to me. It was simple, sweet, lovely, and most importantly, I could see the sincerity twinkling in Baby's eyes. I truly felt love, and knows that this man, whom I love, loves me as much deep down in his heart, even though he doesn't tell me I love You everyday.

I was rather curious why Baby popped the question so early, and asked him why. His answer was rather cute, he said " I must chop you first to make sure you will be mine" Heez~.... very strange way of answering, but very cute though.

We headed for home, and it was my present opening time after we bathe. My present was in a very cute Hello Kitty paper bag. I opened it up to find a book and a pouch inside. The pouch had a pair of swimming goggles, ear plugs, and swimming cap inside. Baby was so sweet!!! He knew I always want to go swimming, but always gives myself excuses for not going, so he bought everything I needed to make sure that I will be well equipped for any last minute swimming sessions. But my favorite was the book, it was a called "The Simple Truth About Love". There weren't million of words in the book to make up a story or love theory. With every page you turn, you will find yourself looking at very beautifully taken pictures of animals, showing how they express their love to their own kind. There will be well written phrases below every picture to express what the picture was trying to tell you. I loved this book. Heez~ Some of the phrases were rather interesting and funny too~

To my Baby~
Thank you Baby, for entering to my life,
you were always there for me to sayang me when I fall down,
to make monkey faces to make me laugh,
to act cute with me when I act cute,
to hug me when I cry,
to hold my hands when crossing the roads to make sure I'm safe,
to carry me when my legs are too tired or too painful to walk,
to buy lunch or dinner for me even though I'm such a pain with my choices of food,
to hold my numerous shopping bags for me whenever we go shopping together,
to pamper me like a princess,
to tahan my sudden tantrums,
to fetch me from work everyday even though you are tired,
to kiss me on the lips every morning when you wake up,
and to do anything and everything for me when I'm too lazy~

We have spent 730 days together loving each other, and we will have the thousands and thousands of more days to come where we will realize that there will be infinite amount of love that we have for each other.

With Lots and Lots of Muacks~
Baby =p
