Time sure flies by without any signs to remind you that you are older by one day and you have been blessed to breath through this second, this minute, this hour..... Life is short, with the definition of 'short' varying depending on how you look at it. To certain unfortunate people, staying alive for one more day, is like striking another day of lottery. To those who are born fortunate and takes life for granted, they dredge about the simplest things like why the seconds hand move so slowly on the clock, or why they are wasting their time doing this, doing that~
Well, these are just some thoughts that ran through my mind a few seconds ago. I guess once someone grows older day by day, gains more life experiences, and actually see the reality of life, they tend to look at everything in a different perspective. I haven't exactly experienced so much in life myself to the extent whereby I can draft my own philosophy about life. But from what I've experienced, and things I've seen from the past till now, I managed to be enlightened, and understand what are the important, needs, wants and unimportant things in life. I've learned to understand that ones life is not just about 'yourself', but about whom are the ones that have shown care, concern, and stayed by your side during the ups and downs of your life.
Cherishing is not just about showing that you care once in a while, it's about really putting the effort to do the simplest things for that someone without any obligations, and let the person feel your concern through the basic things you do everyday..........
Bla Bla Bla~.......
Today we went to bishan S11 to have our dinner. I tried the new western food stall there, known as Western Chow. I think I've seen this brand featured on tv before. But anyway, I tried the Black Pepper Chicken Chop, and it tasted great! Their sauce seems to carry a very different fragrant taste from what you usually get when eating from those standard western food stall. The side dishes includes a generous portion of lightly sauted long beans, french garlic bread, and thick fries. The quality they provided was comparable to those you get in restaurants, and I like the fact that they serve their dishes on ceramic plates instead of plastic ones even though they are located in a neighborhood coffee shop. If you ever pass by there, do give it a try!
Our 2nd year anniversary is nearing, on this Friday. Initially I wanted to pay for the total expenses of our trip to Bangkok as a gift to Baby, but he rejected my offer, saying we should pay half half. So I intend to get Baby another gift, just something not too expensive, but I'm sure he will definitely love it because it's something he always wanted but didn't buy. Heez~
I asked Baby where will we be dining on our anniversary, but he didn't tell me because he wanted to give me a surprise. I don't want him to bring me to those posh restaurants again, because last year he brought me to one posh outdoor restaurant on Dempsey Hill, and it cost him a bomb~ This year, we will just keep it simple and sweet, heez~ Romantic is not necessary lah, just enjoy ourselves =)
Thinking of a way to go buy Baby's gift but not let him find out..... but very hard leh... he fetches me from work everyday~..... Probably go buy during lunch time ba~
