Bai Bai Day~

Boo~ The cny holidays passed by within a blink. But I have to say I did enjoy myself though... Ang Bao intakes for this year dropped, as I expected. But well, it's still not too bad though.

I finally went for a interview few days back, the interviewer was rather pleased with me, and even told me he placed me on top of his list. But I'm still considering about that job because it's actually corporate sales and he told me that outdoor meetings are one of the core scope. The working hours are great because it is 5 days week and 9-6 daily. But the stepping stone for me to accept this job is that the basic is very low. Though there is transport and hp allowance to cover up, but it's still a risk for me if my sales doesn't meet my target. Should I go for it? I have been asking myself ever since the interview ended. Even the interviewer warned me if the job being tough due to the nature of coporate sales... but there are alot of young ladies like me working for them leh~......

Yesterday I bought 2 more books at popular bookstore, and guess what? I was charged $17.20 for a $34.90 book. Baby was helping me pay at the cashier and we only realised that they undercharge us after we left. But well... heck with that, since they made the mistake, I just gain from the "discounted price"....hee heez~ I'm collecting more and more books for my Library Room in our new home. I just love reading, and collecting books that I like just thrills me. In the future, I'll nuture my children to appreciate the art of reading, and emphasis the importance of reading... Heez~

Today we went to Bai Bai (pray) at Kuan Im Temple, Bugis with mama and siong siongs. After which we went to Paya Lebar Sheng Ong Temple to pray to the Tai Sui God because Fat Siong fan Tai nSui this year. After bai bai-ing, I suggested we go to Kovan Hougang Street 21 to eat my favourite Fish Head Steamboat. It's the first time mama and Siong Siongs ate there and they all liked my recommendation. =) We went for walk walk at Heartland mall after dinner, then headed back home.

But of course my day didn't ended just like that... Baby and I went to temple where my friends were all already there for a game of "Si Ki", four cards. Initially I won quite alot with Papa's partnership, but then papa went home half way because he was sick, and I started losing. Luckily I managed to win some back on my last few games and managed to win ten bucks. Well, it's okie if we win some lose some, but what matters is that we enjoy the whole process of it. Our gambling doesn't just end after the first 3 days of cny. It starts on the first day and carries on till the 15th day. It's gambling, gambling, gambling!! Huat Ah!

I have been eating too much junk food lately... Have to control liao, and try to strike a balance by doing some exercises. Tomorrow is the 7th day of cny, Ren Ri. We will be going to temple after me work for a Lao Yu Sheng. Yippie!

Gong Xi Fa Cai!!!

It's finally Chinese New Year liao.... I love this period of the year the most... It's the time when our family gets together, have steamboat reunion dinner, eat lots of yummy snacks; Ba gua, Sugee, pineapple tarts, chocolates, cashew nuts and lot and lots more...!! Not to mention poker hours..... It's all about the togetherness and happy moments we get to enjoy with our family and friends.

It's the time of the year when I get to spend more time with my parents, and also my "loving" brothers"..haha.. This year we finally get to have reunion as awhole family again... Because for the past 3 years, Siong Siong was still studying in the states and couldn't come home to celebrate with us... It's this time of the year when the whole family feels very bonded, and we seem to be still at the age of years ago.... daddy's and mummy's little babies.... Heez~

Baby downloaded Loco Roco 2 for me to play...Heez.. He surprised me today by secrectly downloading last night... So sweet of Baby... Its my favorite game neh~ Love baby so much...

Finally I have a interview this Friday.. Hope that it will turn out successful.. I really can't stand working for this stupid company for even another day... It's new year so I'm not going to get myself all worked up because of those freaks... It's the new year, I really hope my life, career, health, wealth will be smooth and steady... I'm really looking forward to moving foward, and the first change on the list is to get myself a new job.

New Lab Top! Wahaha!!

wahaha!!.... My brother Siong siong won a Acer Aspire One during his company DnD lucky draw. Why is it that people who don't need it always gets the prize. That's so unfair!! Well, since SiongSiong already has a imac to keep himself busy, and Fat Siong already has a laptop of his own from his company, this lap top is left unused.

So of course yours truly have to fully utilise this "abandoned" prize possession. Its in a nice indigo blue colour with a nice glossy finish on the cover. Well, for me, I wouldn't love this colour, but for guys, this is considered perfect. Baby wants to buy the laptop from Siong, but of course at a special family discounted price. Wahaha, anyway, I'll be able to use it for free..... who cares. Heez

Been using the sleek hair cream for two days and it seems pretty good. But my hair condition is way too dry if compared to my previous silky straight hair. I miss my straight hair....sobx sobx.

This is my new curly hair...my fringe and hair from top to my ears still remains the same, only half of my hair are permed.... Nice ma?...... Heez....

Today after work we went to Amk Hub to help mama buy drinks, and chocolates for CNY. Wah lao..Ntuc was so crowded man... wasn't even able to walk around, nonetheless take the products off the shelves. So pek chek man.... I got fed up after "surviving" there for 10 minutes.

Baby was telling me these crowds will last all the way till the eve of cny. Phew, lucky I have already bought most of the things we need for cny a week ago. Though it's quite nerve wreaking to squeeze with the crowds, this is actually the culture and sights we get to appreciate during festive seasons. It's inevitable that one moves into the festive mood~

Counting down to CNY, it's another 4 more days.......Ang Baos!....Here I come!

holiday mood!

Today everything at work didn't worked out right, but I don't want to talk much about it because I'll just be reminded of the unhapiness.. My colleague, the secretary told me that she is going to quit too.. Think my decision to quit finally made her realize this stupid company is not worth staying.

My hair is fuzzy and dry from the strong chemicals that was used for perming, so my colleague recommended me to buy those cream for moisturizing. She used this brand called Badhair, and I found it at Tomato. But the sales lady recommended that I try another brand called Sleek Hair. She said it was their best seller.

Well, the said BadHair's cream us too watery, doesn't work as well, and Sleek was their best seller for ladies with similar hairstyle as me. I tried it and it seemed pretty good.

Was doing the final decorations for our plants with PaPä just now.. Heez, PaPä is always so excited when doing the decorations for cny, now our home looks like a mini store selling those decors... I'm not exegerating.. Heez, but alright la, it brings me into the holiday dreamy mood! =p

I'm a curly girl~

I'm a curly girl! That's what baby calls me now.. I'm still adjusting to my new hairstyle...

To be honest, when I saw the results of my perm, I didn't quite love it.. Immediatly I felt regretful, and I hated myself for being so impulsive.. Even the other students dyeing their hair at the same hairdressers comment that it's a waste that I'm perming my silky straight hair into curls.

When I reached home and looked at myself in the mirror, I really felt like crying.. But baby kept consoling me, and told me it was nice, and it's a new change, just the way I wanted it to be. Mummy also said that it was nice. My colleagues also said it was nice...

When my hairdresser asked me if I liked it, I really had to force myself to say yes. I think my facial expression tells it all. She even called my mom on the following day to check if I was alright.

Now that I've lived with my new hair for a couple of days, I'm starting to get used to it, and appreciate it. The curls look more natural and wavey now.. Alright, I made the decision and I have to live with it.

At least I know I ever had curls before... Heez.. I'm a curly girl!

new year, new look, hopefully better future ahead...

Omg!! I'm so nervous now.... Guess what, I'm actually perming my hair now.. I so scared... So concious about how the outcome would be...

I have only done rebonding in the past, when I hated my natural wavy hair... But now that I have nice soft and straight hair, i'm spending money to make it curly and wavy... It's strange how girls can spend their money..

To be honest, I've been thinking about curling my hair for a very long time.. But never did I have the courage to really do it.. Well, I'm not sure what got into me today.. I just got really sick of the stiff straight look, and for an instance my heart tells me to just do it!

Hai... Time will tell how the outcome would be.. Would I look fatter or older? Would my face look more chubby with curly hair? Argh!!! My uncertainty is driving me crazy!!

spring cleaning...!!

Last Saturday was a tiring busy day for baby and me... Initially I intended to clean my stuff, and clearaway baby's rubbishs!

But... End up, PaPä ordered us to polish our antique funiture set. It's those kind if huge antique dark wood chairs with carvings of dragons, clouds... And whatever it is.. There are so many details on the funiture that just makes it fustratung to clean and polish the gaps in between..

My fingers hurt after spending half a day polishing.. Luckily baby helped me.. As people say, share the joy, and share the hardship together..

By end of the day, I no longer have the energy to to clean my room liao....

Red Cliff 2

Last night, or should I say this morning, baby and I went to watch Red cliff 2. Its second part of the story is really worth waiting. Initially we were quite disappointed when the first part ended aruptly, but after we watched the second part yesterday, we understood why they had to make it into 2 movies.

No doubt the story was inspired by chinese history, they made it interesting and heart wrenching for viewers to see. The actors and actresses were perfect for each character, and truly managed to bring our Heros to life.

I always thought xiao qiao sacrificed her body to cao cao in order to stop the war, but actually she used her knowledge on the art of tea making to delay cao cao from starting the war.

I love watching movies of heroic stories that are inspiring, so does baby. It's nice to know that we have similar interests. Heez

Bye Bye 69.....

Baby sold off his bike on Monday, and he told me he is quite sad... Sobx... me too... People say that relationships between people grow as time passes.... But actually we will also be attached to the things we use as time pass..... Just like Baby's Getz and his bike "69". We just hope that the new owners will treat "them" nicely...

My job hunt for the past few weeks seems avail... It's kind of demoralizing to have no result despite the numerous resumes I sent out. Baby say he experienced the same when he was searching for jobs previously, and encourages me to be patient as the economy is at it's downfall now. Many companies are freezing their employment plans, cutting down on their expenses to just survive. Baby's colleague's husband is one example. He got retrenched from his company, then he managed to find another job that agreed verbally to employ him, they interviewer even introduced him to all his new colleagues to be. Than he was told to wait for a week for his employment letter to be drafted. End up, a week later, the company called him and said that they couldn't employ him anymore because they are freezing their employment plans for the time being.

So cruel right, employ people liao then cannot fulfill their promise. I should consider myself fortunate to have a job now. I'll probably wait....gain more months of experience in this company, and wait for the 'right' job to appear.

Shopping..!!..Here I come!!!!

Oh my god!! Chinese new year is just another 22 days away... and I have not done any shopping for my clothes or shoes!! Actually I just bought a few pairs of sandals and a few tops recently that I haven't even touched yet..... but!! I'm not satisfied, I need more clothes!!

Baby promised to accompany me on a shopping spree on Tuesday evening after work, and we will be going to Far East Plaza. I guess FEP is one of my preferred places to shop for the lasted apparels, accessories, and foot wear. But I did came across a tv commercial featuring the the new Bugis Village shopping new spots! I haven't been there since like a year ago after I quit my job at Aspial. I guess they have revamped the place again and added even more small shops with the latest chic fashion apparels. I guess these are the places I can go to comfort myself for not being able to shop at my favorite Bangkok Platinum Mall.

But I guess baby would prefer going to FEP because it's close to my office and parking over there is more convenient. Actually I find myself kind of strange, because whenever I work at a place, I tend to not go to nearby malls to shop, instead I travel all the way to somewhere else to buy. For example, when I used to work at Bugis Junction, I never really take the initiative to just travel a short walking distance to Bugis Village to do my shopping, instead, I travel to FEP. Now that I'm working in Orchard, I also never thought of travelling a not so short walking distance to FEP for my shopping, instead I keep thinking of going to Bugis.

Well, I'm not doing my plannings well enough before I decide where to go. Indecisive and impulsive....that's me!

I'm not sure about other ladies out there, but when I yearn to go shopping, or have something in mind to buy, the thought keeps circling in my head and I just can't wait to grab hold of the item or chiong down to the shopping mall and shop till my legs ache like hell or try clothes till I'm so tired. And one thing is for sure, I totally forget about eating when I start shopping, I'll just need to make sure I have cash or credit card and my water bottle with me.... Heez~ Is this behaviour considered as a Shopaholic?

Now that Baby has his new car, he is finally set on selling his bike even though I know he hates to do so. He managed to find a buyer for his bike and will be handling the keys tomorrow. So sad~ No more bikey days and cute pink helmet for me~ Feeling sad and can't bear the thought of selling off baby's "baby". But the bike would be redundant to keep, now that baby drives to work, and travels with his car.

it's 2009!!!

It's finally 2009, and I spent my first hour of 2009 with my family and friends.. We had a great time last night with the sumptous BBQ food and dèBbié made some new creations which tasted great.

There were the bacons rolled with aspparagus, and or golden mushrooms, or ham with cheese which we burn the cheese with blow torch to get the burnt cheese.. Yummy!

Today our plans are to just laze around at home and relax, watch tv, eat snacks, and cuddle up together..

Baby is so engrossed in reading the manual for our advante and I'm going to disturb him with my sudden hugs!

Oh.. How I just love holidays!!
