To carry on my happenings and unhappenings for the past week....
Work seems to be over loaded for the whole week. Though tiring and busy to the extent of not having time for lunch, time passes real fast, and usually without noticing, its 7pm.. Time to go home!!....
On Wednesday after work, Baby came to fetch me from my office, and he wanted to bring me to "Charcoals". Its actually located at the previous coffee shop where Botak Jones-AMK used to be.
This Malay owned grilled/bbq meats store actually provides tasty grilled chicken with fries or chips. The specialty they have is their wide range of salads to replace the fries and chips. When I say wide range of salads, its really wide range compared to those normal coleslaws you get from western food stores. They have avocado pasta salad, seafood cream salad, potato salad, egg salad and etc..
Baby mentioned until like the food is so wonderful. When we reached there, he immediately recommended me to get the quarter grilled chicken combo that comes with 3 salads of your choice. I didn't bother to look up at their menu thats printed on their signboard as I was too tired, and trusted Baby to have choosen the best combo for me.
Never did I know, the whole dish is like 3 types of salads and a quarter grilled chicken... Thats all... no fries no chips... Kind of not that surprising leh.... at least not the way Baby had discribed to me... There were too much salad for a combo liao.. Initially I thought the salads would taste very significantly different, thats why they came up with this 3 salads combo.... However, to my dissappointment, it all tasted sort of too creamy to me.. It took me less then half the meal to get sick of the salad taste... Then I looked at the menu again and realised that they have other combos that comes with fries, chips or corn... Hai... why did I let Baby order for me... I should have ordered myself... End up I swapped my meal with Baby's Hokkien Mee...
Baby was afraid that I would be upset about our dinner... especially when I'm already not in a very good mood... But I didn't really show any temper.. probably too tired.. But of cause I knew Baby meant well because he thought I would like something new like this...Anyway I still appreciate his effort to cheer me up. Heez~
Friay was the 1st day of the lunar 7th month... went straight to temple after work to pray.... Usually on this month of the year, I'll try not to be in the outdoors in the nights.. the most I'll only stay out till 11pm... I admit that I'm the "Bang Tang" type of person.. I don't go beach, don't go swimming, don't any talk or make comments, and walk very carefully not to step on any joss paper or offerings on the ground...
In this 21st century, very seldom can you find superstitous young adults like me... But I'm not ashamed of myself for being like this... who cares what other people feels or thinks of me.. there's a saying in chinese " better to believe then not to"... I think this phrase explains my feeling and mindset... Don't always wait till something bad happens than you regret....
Yesterday was a hot and sunny Saturday.. We both woke up like at about 10.30am, despite the fact that we didn't have to work... Baby and I were both tired but couldn't fall asleep again after we woke up...
Baby had a few volleyball tournaments in the afternoon between 1 - 5pm... Initially I promised to go watch Baby play.. but end up I was too tired and had some house chores to do, so I told Baby I will give him morale support instead... Heez.. sorry Baby.. don't feel dissappointed because I didn't go watch you play ok?.... Muacks!
Luckily Baby and his team won champion... Yeh!... Baby so "Li Hai"!.... But this tournament is only for his internal departments in HDB... He says that the tournaments with stat board and other goverment division is the difficult one... I will give you morale support de!... Jia You Baby!!
We went to kovan for our late dinner at around 8.30pm.. We both had laksa from the kovan market that I missed since I got transfered away from my HLM branch to Bugis last year during my occupation in Aspial...
The laksa was as spicy and as delicious as ever, and I only like the one from the Teo Chew Fish Ball Noodle store that was located at the back row of stores... Its just beside Selegie Bean Curd, and is always having long queues during peak hours... so isn't that hard to locate...
We then headed for Cup Walker to buy and Ta bao Bubble tea for my friends and myself.... The blury me only realised that I took 6 straws instead of 7 when we were back at our car... so Baby had to walk back to cup walker again just to help me take 1 more straw... Heez.. Baby is always my hero!.... How did I ever survive the days before I got to know him.... Heez~
Met up with my friends at temple and it was almost 10pm... time to head off for AMK Hub for our movie session with Mummy 3 - Tomb of The Dragon Emporer. Ah Dua and Ah Sui and their family were all supporters of Jet Li's movie... Me too... because his skill and wushu is genuine de... we all arrange to watch together since last month... I tink this is the first time I watch a movie with a group of 15 people... Lolx.. when my cousin Siew Siew went to buy the tickets on wednesday, the ticket officer was stunned when she wanted to purchase 15 tickets, and even asked her again "so its 15 tickets right?".... Haha..

There was yet another coincidence as Adrain, Ah dua's bf, saw his sister and parents when we were waiting to sit in for our movie... and his sister, Audrey, came over to say hi. Then I saw Baby say hello to her too~ Haha... we all were confused at first, especially ah dua and me... because it was the first time Baby and I met Adrain's sister..
We then found out Audrey and Baby were secondary school mates... Lolx... the world is really so small.... But Baby really had alot of coincedence... like my cousin-in-law dephnie was Baby's poly classmate, and ah dua's cousin, Be Zhen was also Baby's secondary classmate.... are there going to be anymore coincedence?... we will see as time goes....
