Grandma's Birthday

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Yesterday we celebrated grandma's birthday.. This year, celebration was a bit quieter as compared to previous year... Just the usual buffet, and Mama bought the same mango cake she always orders....

Usually we would celebrate in the living room, with everybody gathering around grandpa and grandma, happily singing the birthday song... this year was a little different.. As grandma have difficulty moving around, we brought the cake into her room, right beside her bed to sing the birthday song for her...

I can see everyone is glad to be able to celebrate grandma's 77th birthday, however, while singing the birthday song, I just couldn't help having the thoughts of celebrating grandma's birthday for the last time. I didn't want to have such thoughts, but mama kept reminding us, to be prepared that it could be grandma's last birthday....

I held my tears back while singing the birthday song, but from the corner of my eyes I could see 3rd Aunt quietly leaving to her own room to cry... sometimes I really hate myself... why didn't I spend more time with grandma in the past, and blame myself for working so much that I missed a couple of grandma's birthday for the past years.... Now I can only spend that much time with grandma... praying and hoping everyday will pass by, with grandma still with us...

Oh Baby Baby~

Saturday was full of fun, jokes, laughter, and oily gresey bbq food. I like this kind of "family & friends" gathering or parties, because you get to enjoy nice food and catch up with everyone you care...

Time really flies.... Ah Di is like 21... and it reminds me that I'm 22 myself...haha... Everyone has grown up, finish studying, serving NS, or already working like me... However, our friendship is so strong, we never forget to contact, have gatherings, or just sit down and chat on a typical saturday night.... This is the kind of bond which I regard as a real friendship, not like the kind whereby they only call you when they are in need of comforting, money, or chionging kar kee.... I am not refering to anybody in particular, just extracting an common example from my life experiences.....

We stayed throughout the bbq party as we helped clear the rubbish and tables... only reached home like at about 12am? Totally exhausted by the time I came out from my shower... very lazy to blow my hair, but can't sleep with a dripping hair... Heez... so Baby was so sweet, helped me blow my hair with the dryer, and it took some time to dry because my hair was long and thick... I love it when Baby help me blow dry my hair... Heez~ makes me feel like a princess~
How will I ever live without Baby~
