Thanks to Baby for forgetting the ntuc vouchers on Wednesday, we weren't able to get the Ben & Jerry ice creams at special promo price~..... Its like only 2 days difference, and the promotion by ntuc is over. So sad... I was craving for my favourite B&J ice cream and was firm to get 2 tubs home on Friday night, but the promotion was over. End up Baby suggested getting Sara Lee Cheese cake again. Alright, cheesecake was nice too, just that I was craving for ice cream and was dissappointed that I couldn't get it.
On our previous occasion to ntuc @ amk hub, we also got cheese cake from Sara Lee - strawberry cheese cake, because it was on promotion. It tasted great! sort of like ice cream too because it melts in your mouth instantly. This time round we tried the normal cheese cake flavour, and it turned out as wonderful. We got lots of groceries and tidbits as I wanted to utilise Baby's $40 cash voucher.. Wahahaha! Thats for making me miss my B&J promotion.
We headed home after getting our yummies... Well, finally both of us are not working on Saturday, so we can watch tv, play games, munch yummies, and slag all night... Heez~ We woke up at around 1.20pm on Saturday, as my stomach was growling with hunger... Baby went to get vggie beehoon, tip top curry puff, and bubble tea from Each A Cup for me... Heez I don't know why, but I just won't get sick of vege bee hoon with lots of crispy "vege-goose". Even if I'm eating it practically every week.
We slag at home all day, so much for a Saturday. But strangely, I wasn't keen to go out nowadays, probably because I wanted to prevent myself from shopping before my BKK trip. Need to save my money of cheaper goods there, wahahaha!
However, everyone I know who is aware that I'm going to bkk are telling me to cancel my trip, because of the constant protests in Bangkok, Phuket, Hua Hin and Krabi. It's all those political unrest that making my parents and friends worried. Hai.... why so suay, just when I want to go relax and shop, they are having political unrest there... I read the articles on the protests lately and it was told that Phuket's Airport was temporarily closed due to the protestors marching into the airport premises. Tourists were left stranded in Phuket, and flights were cancelled. So poor thing, imagine you go holiday and they won't allow you to come home, and your accomodation wasn't taken care of by the Thailand Goverment even though they were the cause of all these riots.
But for now, we can only wait and see if the unrest in Thailand is solved soon, since our trip is on the 25th of September, we still have about 3 weeks to decide whether to postpone our trip. I hope that the political riots will be solved soon, so that my parents won't be so worried. However, despite all these unrest, sadly to say, but true to fact, its actually the best time to exchange my SGD to THB because at their stocks are slidding downwards due to all the negative news they are having now. Maybe I'll just change about SGD$500 first, then toward closer to our travelling date then change the rest.... Hmm... we shall see how ba... Scarlee not going, then the THB will be useless~
