I'm the Shopping Queen!

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Yesterday has been a day of walking, shopping, and spending of my $$$. Basically, my ultimate goal yesterday, was to buy a bag for my work as we needed a bag to put our portfolio and directory during our appointments. It was quite difficult to find as the shape and size I wanted wasn't very big and I preferred it to be black, simple but fashionable, yet inexpensive. We went Isetan Scotts and there were quite alot of choices of designs and labels, however, they were either too big or too small.

After bag searching there, we remembered that there was a DKNY sale upstairs and we went to reckee to see if we have anything to buy. End up, we spent $380 just on the DKNY clothes.... OMG!! It wasn't only my clothes ok, Baby played a part in the shopping too! What a big hole in our pockets liao... then... to carry on our shopping, we went to Plaza Singapura again as Baby wanted to buy the Melody cushion for me! He said I could use it in office and it was my favorite!! It's so cute!!, and I told baby that I will think of him whenever I see the cushion during work! Heez!

My Melody Cushion!!

On top of this, I already bought some stationeries when I saw Melody at the Sanrio department at Isetan already....

And on top on top of these, we already went to Liang Court on Friday night to buy alot of Melody stuffs liao!!

More Melodys!!!...I'm now the shop's life time member!! =P

I needed a mug for work, but could find the Melody design, so I got a Little Twin Stars mug instead. Usually all these Sanrio products are while stocks last basis. The store owners will have to travel to Japan to purchase their stocks every season, and usually all these products are only produced based on seasonal designs on limited edition . So whenever I see anything I like, I will not hesitate and just grab it. Baby also liked to shop all these Melodys with me... sometimes he even insist that I buy somethings that HE likes! Haha...even the sales girl find it amazing and funny!

My shopping escapade didn't just end like this, after buying my cushion at PS, we took mrt to City Hall to see if there are any nice bags there I can get.. Baby preferred to park at PS because it was cheaper, and Raffle City have limted parking spaces... After walking so much in Raffles City, we were rather tired and decided that our shopping will end at the end of CityLink...

Luckily, I found the ideal bag at Charles & Keith. To be honest, they had some nice bags, but on usual case I won't buy all these cheaper range bags as I usually go for labels such as LV or Gucci. But this bag was just for documents only, and I'll probably trash it on the floor most of the time, so a cheap and nice one was sufficient. After getting the bag, my mind was at rest liao as I achieved my motive of the day... So we decided to finish shopping CityLink before we had our dinner... That was the thing, my shopping haven't end, I found 2 boutiques selling nice tops and dress, and ended up spending antoher $160...!! Alamak, I really spent too much for the day, or the week liao... have to control liao, if not my wardrobe will explode and my wallet will be drained off.

My goal! No shopping for a week!! or 2 weeks if possible!!

We had our dinner at TCC as that was the only choice at that hour. I've heard of many compliments about the food there but didn't had the chance to try it.

My Seafood Aglio Oglio!...it was very very nice, & spicy too!

Baby's Salmo Spaghetti... was alright la, but he liked it!

Basically, we liked our food, mine was really fresh and the prawns and scallop were juicy and succulent! Yummy! Baby had his salmon medium well, so I didn't really liked it... but I'm glad that he likes it! Yummy foods to satisfy our taste buds and tummies!

Thank god it's almost Friday!

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

In the past, I'll always admire my friends and family when they tell me TGIF! For me, my previous jobs either don't allow me to have weekend offs or have both consecutive days of the weekend off. Fortunately, now not only do I get to have both weekends, I don't have to work on public holidays too! Yipee!

Last few days I was pretty stressed out because I had to study and do "homework" for our product knowledge and prepare my proposal for role play with my team. Actually sales talk has never been an issue to me, since I had been doing sales for the past few years. Basically no matter what we sell, there are still bound to have similarities in the way and methods we do in the sales. In the past the products I sell belongs to Business 2 Customers(B2C), now, it's Business 2 Business(B2B) . Though as I mention selling is pretty similar no matter what product you it is, but there are still certain tactics you got to acquire and discover in order to achieve the best out of the business.

There were pretty lots of things I got to learn during my training. I would say, the training programme was very detail and heavy. Fortunately, I'm proud to say that I managed all my studying and homework well, and I managed to do quite well during my role play. All of them were impressed that I could do it so well during my first attempt, and that I was smooth and confident during the role play. I'm so happy!!! Baby was nervous for me too and wanted to know my performance, luckily I did pretty well and he was so proud of me!!

Heez... I was telling Baby last night that I still remember during my interview, my manager asked me what was my motivation in my job other than the monetary factor. I refrained myself from saying my true feelings as I had to present myself as more rational. So I said my family and parents are my motivation. Actually deep down in my heart, I yearned to say Baby was my motivation. I guess it's because I'm dependant on Baby most of the time, he is my pillar of support, and whenever I feel down, I will think of him and tell myself to Jia You!

I guess everybody has different ways of motivating themselves, for me, Baby is my motivation. I guess there is no right or wrong, rational or irrational way of thinking, it's just how we feel deep down in our hearts. =)

Today after work we went to Plaza Singapura to do some walk walk and we had our dinner at Hot Tomato. It's a new restaurnt I guess, course I have never seen it before, and Baby suggested eating there since we were both hungry and don't want to crack our brains anymore on deciding. I thought that we made the right decision, as the food was pretty fresh and nice!

Vegetable soup with home made fresh bread!

My King Prawn Aglio Oglio...nice!!

Baby's Sirloin Steak with Aglio Oglio..!! Very nice too!!

Overall, the food was nice and fresh, and the portions were just nice! Though it's a small restaurant, but the decor was cute and interesting! We even have impressions that it was affliated to the Tomato shop at AMK that sells daily products.

It's Friday tomorrow...so looking forward to my weekend!!

Coping with the new lifestyle...new worklife~

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Today I survived through the second day of work... Not that it's very tough that I have to keep myself alive, it's basically a totally alien environment, working with complete strangers, and the need to cope with learning the basics and knowledge of our product. Not to forget the fact that I have to travel all over Singapore to meet my clients... and the common areas can be Jurong and Tuas.

This new job can be very challanging, but tough on the other side. But of course I have to admit the fact that this job has got lots of attractive components such as good $$ and only five day work week, plus the location is good too.

I guess most people will have the same emotions as me when we first start to work in a brand new environment. I tend to feel insecurities, loneliness, lost, and be afraid of what's going to happen tomorrow.... I think this is the initial period that I have to get over with, especially when it's not my first job liao...

I know my character; I can be very shy and quiet during the initial stage, but when I'm used to the environment and know my colleagues long enough, I can be crazy and very chatty... I prefer it when I'm comfortable with the working style and enjoy what I'm doing.... I hope this day will come soon... I just went through a day of training today, and my insecurities have lessen... My interest of the product knowledge, technique of selling has increased... I guess it should take me not long to start selling...

But I have been thinking about the importance of getting a car for myself for this job. In my department, it's all ladies, and majority of them drive. The nature of this job really requires us to travel around so much so that a car has become an asset, a component of our sales kit. There are also the minority that doesn't drive, and travel by bus, and train even if it takes 1.5 hours to reach our destination. I really have to start my driving lessons liao... At least after I got my license, I can then decide whether I want to get a small car for myself! =)

Nakhon Kitchen! I like!

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Yesterday was a rainy cold day. I didn't felt like going out to walk walk, after all my "holiday" will be over in 1 more day. The cold weather made me crave for Kovan's Laksa, so Baby and I headed for dinner at kovan during evening time.

But before we reached there, baby was craving for Thai food, and he remembered that his colleague recommended a thai reataurant located behind Superbowl. The exact location of the restaurant is actually next to the Indian Muslim coffee shop, along the stretch where Macdonalds is. Quite confusing with the way I describe, but anyway the restaurant name is Nakhon Kitchen. Although I was craving for Laksa, and usually I wouldn't give in until I get what I want, thai food was my ultimate favorite, and the thought of tom yam soup just makes me salivate.

So, of course I had to go with Baby's suggestion, and boy did we found the real 'treasure'! Nakhon Kitchen... their sign board says "bringing you authentic thai cuisine". It is a small restaurant opened by real Thais, from the chef to the waitress, and the decorations and music brings me back to the days we spent in Phuket and Bangkok. Their service was very good, and the ambience was nice. It was full house when we reached there, which made us feel worthwhile to change our dinner plans of Laksa, to this fully packed thai restaurant.

We ordered the food that we were more familar with, firstly it was our long missed Green Curry Chicken that we ate during our trip in Phuket. Than we ordered Kang Kong cooked in Thai style, and not to forget, my favorite, Tom Yam Seafood Soup!

Green Curry Chicken

The green curry was as delicious as what we ate at Phuket, very rich in flavour, and we can taste how fresh their ingredients are. A must try, and don't be frightened by it's color.

Thai Style fried Kang Kong, with garlic & chilli.

In the past I thought I would only like my Kang Kong with Sambal Belachan, but this dish proved me wrong, it was very very nice too! Very suitable as a dish with rice!

My Favorite, Tom Yam Seafood Soup!!

Lastly, my favorite soup!!! Tom Yam!! They had two choices for all their soup, the clear version and thick base version. We chose the thick base version this time round, and it was yet again, very very nice! Next time we are going to try the clear base version and compare which is nicer.

We did order dessert but were both too full to eat it after our sumptuous meal, so we Ta Bao our Sticky Rice with Mango. It was very nice too but I forgot to take a photo before Baby and I gulge it up.

Overall, I'm really glad that we made this new discovery. The food were all of genuine ingredients, as comparede to Thai Express, Nakhon Kitcneh was much much better. Baby said Thai Express put alot of MSG in their food, that's why we always feel so thirsty after eating there. But at Nakhon Kitchen, it was totally different and we did not feel thirsty after eating all those food that was rich in flavour. Their prices were much more affordable as compared to other thai restaurants, and their food really genuinely GOOD!

Nakhon Kitchen is my new Favortie eating place for my favorite thai food!!! Yipee!!

My 23rd Birthday!

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Today I spent my 23rd birthday with a simple celebration with my Baby.

Baby took half day off to spend my birthday with me. Basically to start off the day, he bought my favorite vegetarian bee hoon for lunch, and the both of us started slagging at home after lunch. We were bored with the tv shows so baby suggested renting dvds from CineNow.

We used to rent dvds from CineNow quite often in the past when we wanted to save money on expensive movie tickets. Not that we can't afford for our own movie tickets, it's just that watching too often can be quite a burden to our daily expenses too. Renting dvds is much better, as we could cuddle up comfortably together, eat whatever want, and pause if we need to go to he toilet too.

Anyway I was browsing through the dvds available on the internet and I came across Sex in The City. I have been hearing all the positive reviews of this movie but just didn't got the chance to watch it.

The show was really nice, initially I thought Baby wouldn't like the story line as it was very girly stuff, but he enjoyed it and had a great laugh too during the funny scenes...

I feel that I'm somehow quite like Carrie Bradshaw. Perhaps in terms of character and the kind future that she is looking forward to. I like it that they talk about women issues, how they travel from all parts of the country, or world, to New York City, in hope for finding the right one, the Love they have been waitng all their lives... How they struggled with work and love, friends and children.. It was somehow realistic and talked about issues that envolves around a typical women...

Although Singapore is so small as compared to the States, and Love hardly comes by that simply, every girl still hopes to find their "Right Guy"... I'm glad that I found Baby, though it came by alittle late, but I'm still considered lucky as compared to many girls out there.

After the nice movie at home, we had to get ready to set off for my birthday dinner! Baby told me that he will be bringing me to a restaurant located in Bishan Park. I didn't know Bishan Park had nice romantic restaurants, except for a small little pub that we patronized a year ago. Fact is, the park is bigger than I expected, and there was a corner which kind of reminded me of Dempsey Hill. Restaurants with dim romantic lights and outdoor sitting areas.

But we didn't went to the right restaurant leh, Baby's friend recommended the restaurant called Acacia.

The restaurant is suitable for friends & family to go as the environment was nice..

It was more like a family restaurant rather than a romantic dinner place. Well, it's alright, at least we enjoyed ourselves and the food was nice too.

A nice Caesar Salad to start off our dinner!

My Sirloin Steak with Black Pepper Sauce..Not Bad!

Hungry Baby can't wait to be served!...hehe

Baby's Crabmeat with Asparagus Speghetti in cream sauce...it was very nice!

Our Dessert - Brownie with Ice Cream! My favorite!

I really appreciate Baby's efforts in making my birthday so special and enjoyable, he even went through all the trouble to find the watch that I liked as there wasn't many outlets selling the model and color I wanted.

My Pressie! Emporior Armani Watch that I wanted!! Yipee!

After our dinner, we walked towards the other restaurants located next to Acacia, and we realized that the other restaurants seems pretty good, I preferred the ambience and concept and Baby promised to bring me there in the near future!

We went home for my cut cake session as my family members were waiting for me... Baby bought my favorite cake 'Starlet Fruit Cake' from Sweet Secrets. I liked it because it was fresh and not too sweet, an all time favorite in my family too!

My favorite Starlet Fruit Cake!...omg!...23 years old le!!

Love you Baby! Thanks for everything!! =)

My Farewell with The Orientalist

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Last night I attended my farewell dinner gathering with my colleagues... or should I say ex colleagues...

We went to Soul garden @ Marina Square. I think the last time I ate at Soul Garden was like 6 years ago. It was during our secondary school times when Soul Garden became very popular to students. I still remember that we would always reward ourselves with a big feast at Soul after our exams. It was a place to eat and chat, but only alittle oily and smokey though.

Anyway last night I realized that I didn't ate much. The choices of food were still the same, as compared to 6 years ago, with all the different types of marinated meat and frozen ingredients for the steamboat. I guess probably the kind of variety they have no longer appeal to me anymore. Baby even told me that his friend who once worked in Soul Garden recommended not to eat there, not stating the reason, just said that the food weren't as fresh and clean as we expected.

However, I still enjoyed myself last night, and appreciate that they organized this farewell for me, and thank them for their gifts...2 cute dresses! ;)

My buddies Nila & Myrna =)

Group Photo with our partners... too lazy to tag their names... Heez

All my colleagues + me!

Whenever I leave a company, I will feel happy and sad, happy because I don't have to work for my fu*king boss anymore, sad becuase I won't be able to work with my colleagues anymore. To some people, colleagues are just strangers whom they are stucked working with everyday. But to me, colleagues are like my family(at least for majority of them), a close family member whom you work side by side, shoulder by shoulder for at least 44 hours a week. It is inevitable that bonds grow between us, and that they become part of our lives... They are like our gossip partner, our chatting buddy, our confider, our friend..

I don't like the idea that we no longer contact each other anymore after one leaves the company, and that we will only meet "some day", when we bump into each other on the roads or in some shopping mall. Its like all of a sudden, we turn into strangers again... Isn't that very sad and pathetic? So I make it a point to meet my closer ex-colleagues once in awhile, may it be for shopping, or for a coffee & tea session.

With my farewell dinner with The Orientalist, my life embarks on a new journey... new job, new colleagues, new working environment, new boss... I hope all will go smoothly for me, and my sales will meet my minimun quota every month!

Oh... this reminds me that my birthday is tomorrow, and my holiday will be over in a few days time.... so fast!!

No More dusty Carpets!!! Yipee!!!!!!!

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Today is my last day working with those dusty carpets!!! Yipee!! Right now, I'm officially jobless, at least for a week la....

Today there wasn't any fancy farewell party or gathering because we had a simple farewell last Friday already. But of course amoung ourselves, my colleagues have organized a farewell dinner on Wednesday for me. We will be going to Soul Garden @ Marina Square.

Today at work, time was flying past.... Basically I handed over all my job already, so there was pratically nothing much left to do. I was doing my own stuff and chatting away with Nila, enjoying the last few hours we have left working together. Then in the afternoon, we received a package from DHL. It was actually sent from one of our clients, who claimed that he was the owner of Victoria's Secret. When he came to our showroom last week and purchased a couple of items, he told us that he is a Sri Lankan and that he owned a few business, which one of it was Victoria's Secret. We were just listening and wasn't quite sure if he was just joking. Then he asked what was our sizes and promised to send some of his products(Bras and Panties) to us. He noted our sizes, which he claims to know just by looking at us, and said that he would notify his secretary to send them to us in a week's time.

Initially we didn't pin too much hope as it is common to meet people to likes to brag. But.... to our surprise, we received the bras and panties he promised! When we received the package, we were all so excited. We opened it up, and found 3 nicely packed lingeries. They even bothered to pack them nicely and individually for us, each with different designs of at least 6-7 bras and 8-9 underwears. OMG! so great man! we all had free goodies which were from Victoria's Secret!! They were beautiful and cute! We love them! =)

Lucky that we received the package today, or I wouldn't get a share liao~ I took some photos with my colleagues during my last few hours in the office, and specially waited for the sickening boss(younger one) to go out so that I could take a photo with my favorite boss(older one) who doted me like as if I was his daughter. Though I was really happy that I no longer have to suffer working in this company, but there were still nice memories and nice people whom I will miss and remember. When I bid goodbye to my boss before I left the office, boss was saying "really going now?".... So sad... I knew boss will miss me... even all my colleagues say that he dotes me alot.

My colleagues: Sayed(my shi fu), me, Nila(secretary), Aktar(worker), Anuar(driver)

My Shi Fu, Sayed. He taught me all about carpets and cook lots of Bangladesh delicacies for me...

My favorite boss, Mr Mohammad, we always called him Moh Moh... Heez~ His wife and children all treat me very nicely too~ I will miss them!!

E23, E32 Reunion..!!

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Lolx....I guess I have been laughing all evening. Today I met up with my secondary school classmates, I was actually invited to attend Edwin's 23rd surprise birthday planned by his girlfriend. But somehow, I felt that it was more like a class reunion for me.

It has been like? 4? 5? years since I last saw most of them. Initially I thought that there would be certain amount of awkwardness, after all it the first time we are meeting after so many years.... However, perhaps because we had so much to catch up, there was so much to talk about. From our "interesting" classmates, to those sickening teachers, and not to forget, the classic moments that are embossed in our minds even forget after so many years.

Friends of E32 : (1st Row) Yun Long, Teng Shang, Edwin
(2nd Row) Yeow Khiang, Me, Si Hui

Basically, I had lots of laughs, and I'm really glad that I finally met up with them. But I got triggered to the nightmares I experienced in my previous relationship. Because of the wrong path, wrong person that I choose a few years back, it caused me to lose all my good friends, all my money, and almost distroyed my future. But whatever's done can't be reversed. Of course if you ask me, I do admit that I regret my choice in the past, but I'm glad that all of that is over. I've lost alot throughout the experience, but I've also learnt and gained alot of values over the period, and now I understand and treasure the people who are really good to me.

I guess it's true that one will learn more after a setback, the way the elders say "kids must learn to fall in order to grow up", "failure is the first step towards success". Perhaps I just had to learn things the harder way.

Well.... I still believe life is fair, after losing and learning so much in my previous relationship, I focused more on myself, and my life took a turn after I initiated the break up. Now, I've found the right person to spend the rest of my life together, and he treats me well. I'm glad that we found each other, and from time to time we will ask each other coincedently that why we didn't met earlier.

Sometimes it takes time to tell who your real friends really are. No particular reasons why I said that, but I just feel that this phrase is true. I'm glad that I still have all these friends even though I lost contact with them after so many years......

Busy buzzy bee~

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

It has been a rather busy week for me...

On Tuesday, we went to attend Baby's colleague; Serene's farewell ktv session. It was at her favorite pub Rain, which was located at UEsquare. The ambience was rather soothing, and the concept is basically a ktv lounge. Don't get me wrong, it's not like those nightclubs or anywhere associated. It was more of a high end ktv lounge, just a little quieter though. Set with comfy sofas and dim lights, each table had individual touch screen computer for you to select your desired songs.

There was a pool table for friends who aren't really interested in singing, and a designated smoking room for the smokers. A neat and clean pub, and they only charge you for your drinks, which is a good alternative if you find Kbox or Party World too expensive. We sang till 2am, which totally strained my energy for the week.

Yesterday we went to the Isetan Private Sale, yet again, and I invited Nila; my colleague, and her boyfriend Gary, along. I had the admission tickets from the leaflet Isetan sent us, so I thought Nila might want to join me in a shopping spree.... Heez.. I managed to find 2 tops and a pair of heels to add to my wardrobe. Basically it was the reason I went to the Sale. Had to replenish my wardrobe before my new job starts.

As expected, my current company (which will no longer be very soon), delayed my last day of work. Only till today, they finally confirmed my last day will be on Monday. Luckily I don't have to work this weekend....heez~

Tomorrow I will be meeting my old classmates.... finally...after so many years.. To be exact, it's been five to six years... Wow..! Though I can see what's going on with their lives in Facebook, but actually meeting up is a pretty awesome. Must catch up with each other's lives...!! =P

Dinner @ Creation

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Yesterday we went to Suntec City to do some minor shopping before our dinner with our gang at Shaw Bugis. I bought a nice white shirt from Raoul, but it was kind of expensive even though there was discount. I have been spending alot of money lately to fill up my wardrobe, feeling quite heartpain but it's all necessary spending as all of it was meant for my new job. First impressions and personal grooming is very important especially when I have to meet big clients everyday.

We went to meet up with the gang after our shopping. This small cafe located on the first level of Shaw Tower, was called Creation.

They offer set lunches and dinner and their menu consist of mainly pastas and spaghetti. This little cafe may seem unattractive and normal, but they actually offer good quality western cuisine at affordable prices.
You can find several positive reviews of them in forums too.

Their set dinner only cost $15.20, which includes soup of the day, main course, a drink of your choice, and a dessert of your choice. Joey and Ah dan told us their price did not change over the years, and this place was their favorite pak tor location. Heez

Baby's order, Salmon Tomato Spaghetti.

My Spicy Crab Meat Spaghetti...it's not crab sticks ok...it's real crab!

My favorite dessert, brownie with ice cream! , I didn't managed to shoot Baby's apple crumble with ice cream before he georged it up... wat a waste~

My buddy Joey & her jovial hubby, Ah dan.

Patrick Lao da, Ah Dan & Joey(aka Ah gan).... Heez~

The always arguing 2, Rick and Doris..

Oh god the lightings are so bad, my face looks so pale!

After our heart felt dinner, all of us went seperate ways, and Baby insisted on going for a walk at Carrefour. We went there on a right day, as they were having this book fair, with lots of books selling at only $6-$10. I spent a long time finding the book I like amoung the stack of tossed and tussled books. I managed to find 2 books, both at $6 each. Even Baby managed to find 1 book for himself, but he said he will most likely not have the time to read.. Duh~

Overall, it was an enjoyable day! =)

Who wants to be a millionaire?

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Today the most bizarre thing happened at work. I went to work as usual, just that I was extremely late due to Baby's delay and the sickening traffic jam. I reach my work place with my boss already sitting in office, which is rather unusual as he is usually very late during the weekends. But of course we know it's because boss's father; the big boss, is in town, that's why everybody, including my bosses are so uptight.

But today the big boss, which we all call him "Father", wasn't in a very good mood and was in cold war with our boss. All of us were scared so we were just focused with working and not bothering about their personal issues. But never did we expect that "Father" would suddenly start to scold our boss at the top of his voice, right in front of all of us employees. Luckily we didn't understood what he was saying as he only speaks Iranian. Then I guess my boss was very upset as he told us all, in a nice tone, that we could go all go home early for the day. It was like only 11.30am, our day supposedly just started. So we all just quickly pack our bags and left the office as we knew a gunfire is going to happen in the office.

It was rather "drama" and scarey that such a thing would happen in one's work place. But what the heck, I am leaving anyway and since they allowed us to leave work early, I'm only gaining. Haha!

I met baby at bishan after doing some shopping with my colleague and we went home. On the way home it was raining very heavily so we made no plans to go out. But Baby suggested that we go for a movie in the night, to watch Slumdog Millionaire. I had always wanted to watch this movie but just didn't have the time. My colleagues told me how great the story was and how I would just love it. Baby said his friend went to watch and all the audience applauded when the show ended.

So we booked tickets to watch in the night at Plaza Singapura. We even met Baby's friend, Evon and he mother and her cute little daughter, Ling Ling.

"Slumdog Millionaire" is the story of Jamal Malik, an 18 year-old orphan from the slums of Mumbai, who is about to experience the biggest day of his life. With the whole nation watching, he is just one question away from winning a staggering 20 million rupees on India's "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?"

But when the show breaks for the night, police arrest him on suspicion of cheating; how could a street kid know so much? Desperate to prove his innocence, Jamal tells the story of his life in the slum where he and his brother grew up, of their adventures together on the road, of vicious encounters with local gangs, and of Latika, the girl he loved and lost. Each chapter of his story reveals the key to the answer to one of the game show's questions.

Intrigued by Jamal's story, the jaded Police Inspector begins to wonder what a young man with no apparent desire for riches is really doing on this game show?

When the new day dawns and Jamal returns to answer the final question, the Inspector and sixty million viewers are about to find out...

Overall, we really liked the movie, because it was realistic and the show really featured the life and experiences of a poor Indian surviving and fighting all the obstacles and poverty in the slum areas of Mumbai.

It's a enriching show that features a young Indian boy applying what he had seen, done, learnt through his hardship to answering the questions in the famous entertainment show "Who wants to be a millionaire".

It's a show everyone should watch, it gives you a better understanding a different perspective of India!

Just another pleasant day....

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

I got sick on Monday, fever and tummy ache. I felt giddy and restless, and I got Baby worried for me... Sorry Baby~ The doctor gave me 2 days Mc, as my fever was running pretty high, and I just slept through my Monday like a piggy.

On Tuesday, I felt much better le, and baby also took half day off to take care of me. End up, we went to Ikea and Giant @ Tampinese to do some shopping and walking. It's better for me because it feels groggy to be sleeping all day at home. We bought some groceries and yummies and managed to use up Baby's cash vouchers. Heez~ We then went to ikea to walk walk and I bought some dividers for my wardrobe, or my undies to be exact. It was a pleasant day for us, and it ended with a heartfelt dinner at ikea's swiss style canteen.

Yesterday I changed my half day and finished work in the afternoon to go for my pre employment check up at Paragon. Shameful to say but it was my first time doing urine test. I felt awkward when the nurse asked me to go to the public toilet outside the clinic to "take" my urine sample. I had to hold the plastic cup that had my name written on and across the lift lobby to a long corridor with many people walking by..... Heez.... Shy.....

After the check up I went to AMK to meet Baby after he finish work and we headed to meet up with my HLM gang and we went to Toa Payoh to have dinner at this Bak Kut Teh Restaurant. Taste is not bad but too expensive le, won't go there again. We then went to Swensen to have our dessert...yummy yummy... Baby said he is going to control my diet liao...eating too much junk food... Nooooooooo!!! I want to eat!!!

Till now I still don't know when is my last day. The idiots still have reply yet. I still need to replenish more clothes to my wardrobe before my new job starts. But meanwhile, it's holiday mood for me!!
