Grandma we will miss you...

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

On Sunday afternoon, grandma left peacefully at 4.04pm. I was working at that time, and we didn't get to be by her said during her last breathe. After my brother called me, I left my office immediately and went to grandma's house. We were all so upset. I cannot believe grandma has left us so quickly. We just went to visit her on Saturday evening, and I was thinking of visiting her after work on Sunday.

I can't blog so much now, we have to attend to the funeral and it ends on Thursday afternoon. Now these small things are the last thing we can do on our part for grandma's last journey~

hmm....

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Yes, indeed, it's another long weekend again... But a long weekend is never for me~ I still got to work on Sunday and Monday, what a job man~ I think I really need to spend some time considering what I really want to do. The number of hours we spend on our jobs mounts up to be more compared to the time we spend with our family, friends, or even at home. I truly believe that one must have a great amount, or at least certain kind of interest in their job in order to truly have that passion, that drive to wake up at such 'wee' hours everyday to go to the same place, and do the same thing over and over again.

It daunts me with the fact that some people can hate their job, but still survived on for years till the day they retire. A job to me must be of things that I have interest of, such as the merchandise that I get to see everyday, the people I get to meet, the colleagues I get to work with. I won't say that I have no interest in my job now, in fact I quite love what I get to do, such as designing carpets, selecting of colors, learning on interior design from all the designers I interact with. Of cause not to take into consideration the kind of people I work 'for'. They are the ones who kills my day by piling up so much work on my desk, and still expects me to finish it within a few hours without anybody to help me.

Well, thank god I don't bring my dragged day into my personal life. After work its a totally different life for me, it's like saying "take two, andddd action!". I get to enjoy spending time with my loved ones, get to have a nice fulfilling dinner together, play games together, and do silly things like making silly faces, acting like kids, doing dirty dances to each other just to end up laughing at each other until our cheeks feel tired. Life is still there for us to discover, to embrace, and to treasure. Life isn't that bad after all~

Last night Mommy told me in a very calm manner that, "the doctor says that grandma's time is almost there". My heart was like bang! I said "almost, as in you mean really almost almost? like any day from now?". Mommy said yes, and reminded me to go visit grandma as often as I could. My mind was like blank, don't know what to say or how to react. I can see mommy putting on that strong front again, which just hurts my heart.

I will be visiting grandma later this evening, if not, will be tomorrow after work. I miss her~

I need a new job!!!!

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Yesterday, things really sucked at work... Kana scolded by my fucking lao ban for nothing.. Everybody in office also knew that he was making use of my little mistake to vent his anger to everyone in the office. What the fuck man! I've had enough of this liao... who do they think they are, foreigners in Singapore still want to ya ya papa ya, and they look down on Singaporeans like we are worthless..

I'm starting to search for new job again, and this time if I'm able to find any suitable ones before year end bonus comes, I'll also go man... Really cannot stand such a fucking company, no wander everyone who joined before me have left the company for a better brighter future liao. I'm just worried that due to the recession, there won't be good jobs with comparable pay, that are suitable to me. I'll probably have to forsake a higher pay and look for those that are lower, but only slightly lower ba.

When Baby found out I got scolded for nothing, he totally supported my decision of moving on. He knew how bad my working environment is, and how we are treated, so he also hopes for me to move on to a company with better aspects and staff benefits. I'm like so demoralized right now, having to look out for new job again and worrying everyday. Hai~ Baby told me to take it slowly, not to give myself too much stress and look out for opportunities everyday. Yeah~ He's right, finding a job is not a day or two thingy, some people take like months to search for the right job.

Sometimes I really admire friends of mine who work in great environments, with high pay, and have great colleagues. Of cause I know having good colleagues is not an easy thing because there are just so many different types of people out there to destroy each other in order to outshine others. But finding the right company is not impossible, because as long as you are willing to work hard, and truly strive hard, nothing is unachievable.

At the end of the day, one truly feels comforted with the fact that you have your loved ones waiting for you at home. They are there to comfort you when you are down, to cheer and celebrate for you when you achieved something, and to listen to every deep secrets you have to say and you don't have to worry that they will share it with others. I'm so glad that I have Baby, who is always there for me may it be during crisis, or when I have something wonderful to share. He always gives me a squeeze hug to perk me up, or open up his arms to me when I cry. He is my standing pillar, my best friend, my Baby. =)

P.S. I Love You

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Baby's competition didn't really went well for him, he didn't make it through to the semi finals. He said that there was a total of about 60 participants for the U Fame contest. They were all well prepared, with exaggerating costumes and performances. It was more multi racial too, with more than half the contestants being malays. Baby was rather "lucky", because they draw lots to see who sings first, and he drew lucky number 1. His performance was probably what we call, too 'predictable'. He was staring at the mini screen all the time while singing, which the judge felt uncomfortable, saying he didn't memorize his lyrics. Well.... it's okie~ He participated because he was drawn to the cash prizes. Didn't went through then forget it ba. You will always be my idol Baby~ =p

Last night we went to Mini Wok restaurant @ Novena Square for our dinner. The food was quite nice, similar to what you will get at Sakura Family Restaurant. The sell Halal Thai Chinese food, which was the kind I would fancy~

Anyway, after eating, we went to MPH to search for new interesting books to read. I love books that inspire people, help people self improve, and touch our hearts. I was looking around, searching for something that would catch my attention, while Baby was browsing the magazine corner, as usual. He loves reading magazine about the latest bikes, cars, technology, IT stuff and bla bla...

Baby loves riding, but because of me, he bought a car so that he can drive me around Singapore, to look for nice new food, or discover any romantic hideouts. Baby really did a lot of things for me ever since we were together. I'm like the demanding one, he is the sacrificing one. Seems like I'm the big bully, but actually I did ask if Baby mind my character, he said he doesn't, because he loves me the way I am. Baby always spoils me like a princess. Even my moms scolds me for bullying Baby~ Heez~

Anyway I came across this nice book P.S. I Love You by Cecelia Ahern. The inspiring book that turned into a movie starring Hilary Swank and Gerard Butler. I didn't have the time to watch the movie when it was screened in Singapore. I loved touching stories, especially how the Gery cared about Holly even after he died. I liked the book, and ask Baby if I should buy it. He immediately offered to buy it for me =) So sweet of Baby. This way I can read my book while he plays his psp. Yipee!

I started reading the book immediately in the store, and we stayed until the sales person pulled down the shutter, then we realized that they were closing. Baby quickly paid for my book, and we rushed off to Cold Storage to get some munchies~ I was craving for chocolate, and Baby chose a few varieties so that I will be spoilt with choices ... Heez~ I saw Kettles Chips on discount, so I grabbed one pack too. Kettles Chips were one of my favourite, because their chips were fresh and very original. But I don't buy them often because they were rather expensive. I loved the Salt Kissed flavor the most, because it has this pinch of salt to each chip, not too salty and doesn't over power the original taste of the potato.

I'm going to read my book le, shall end today's blog here~

Singing Coach....who me??!?!

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Yesterday I was forced to work overtime, to attend this function which was held at Orchard Hotel by the Hand Knotted Carpet Association and American Express. Because my director was the president of the HCA, they preferred more staff to attend to make it look more "impressive" for him...... Duh~ Waste of my time lor~

My plans to go walk walk with Baby after his volleyball practice was destroyed~~~ Argh~ Lucky we were allowed to leave half way, so Baby came to fetch me at around 9.30pm. Was so tired after reaching home, like as if I was lifting weights or dragging steel during work, my body was aching man~ Lucky Baby helped me massage before I went to sleep. Thanks Baby! =)

Right now I'm helping Baby practice his singing, because he is famous for forgetting his lyrics.... making a fool of himself~ hahahahahaha
He doesn't allow me to blog about his 'secret', which made me laugh for a good hour when he told me.... Lolx~

Well, I must say my Baby really has the gift for singing, many of my friends also thought so when we went singing together. He really captivates me when he is singing... Heez~
Anyway, tomorrow I can't accompany Baby to DXO for the preliminary round because I have to work. He liked the idea of going alone because he said that it's stressful with someone he knows looking at him sing on the stage. If I were there staring at him sing on the stage, he will just laugh his way through....

I will be his support, morally though~ Anyway I'm coaching him, making sure he doesn't forget his lyrics..... Making sure he doesn't go off tune or sing too fast or what ever could happen~ Baby chiong ah!!~

U Fame?

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

We went to HMV@Heeren after work on Wednesday, because baby wanted to source for some karaoke Dvds and Vcds for his "U Fame" preliminary contest on Saturday. Haha~ He participated this 'uncle' contest which is organized by NTUC Union. Basically, this is an event for members of Union to show off their "gifted voice".... at least that's what I know Baby has =p

Well, we went to Waruku for our dinner first to get ourselves prepared for digging all those racks filled with oldies~ Baby was focused on searching for Andy Lau's albums because his songs are the easiest. Hmm... well...that wasn't a very good idea, because we were restricted on 'only dvds or vcds' as that's the only type which can be used for karaoke. We had a hard time searching for albums which were suitable, because they were all of the latest songs. So I had to focus on compilations with oldies, luckily we managed to get a few variations of dvds which Baby thought were quite worthwhile and can be kept for our future mini KTV at home. Heez~ We both loved singing~

After getting Baby's discs, we walked around Heeren to see whats new there. To be honest, I haven't been to Heeren since like? 1 year? 2 year?..... There are like so much changes there, and I thought the revamp of the the highest floor was a right move, because Heeren used to be lacked with choices of nice restaurants.... Anyway, I was craving for cakes suddenly, so Baby suggested getting a slice from NYDC as take away, so we can enjoy a nice cake when we reach home. We chose the Banana Cake, which I thought looked a little like Secret Recipes Banana Chocolate. Hmm... It was too sweet tough after trying, but next time we will try other flavors in the mini cake version so that we can share it with the whole family, and is more worthwhile.

iPhone or not?

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

I have been making myself so busy for the last few days.... or probably I should say, lazing while I can and skipping blogging...

Remember that Baby and I wanted to get Samsung Omnia together because we both thought it was pretty awesome with all the functions and equipped with a very good camer?.... Well, Baby have been reading several reviews and getting feedbacks from friends who are Omnia users, and the comments were mainly negative. I also went to the forums, cNetasia, Hardware and read the reviews. Basically the phone isn't as awesome as it seems. Many users encounter the phone dieing on them within days of using, camera can work but you can't retrieve it after that, phone is on but the screen is all black, the touch screen isn't as sensitive as it appears to be, the battery life only lasts half a day, and it goes on and on ~

We were both quite shocked with all those reviews, and decided to abandon the idea of getting Omnia. So well, I will probably stick back to getting iPhone because it has all the functions which applies to my needs, even tough there is no mms and the camera is only 2mega pixels, it doesn't really matter to me. I'm using iMac at home, I use a iPod while I'm on the move, so well, a iPhone can't be that bad right?

Phone type: Candy bar

He Proposed!!! !!! !!!

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Agh!!!!!!!! Baby proposed to me!!!!!!!!

Yesterday was our 2nd anniversary. As planned, Baby went to fetch me after work at Orchard, and this time round, I didn't know where we were heading for our dinner. Baby wanted to keep me in suspense until the very last minute.

And yes, when I presented his present to him, Baby loved it. He liked the red color, and the design of the duffel bag. Heez~ Throughout the journey to Baby's secret dinner place, we passed by the route that we will usually take when going to Mount Faber. So I thought we could be going there.... But end up, he brought me to Marina @ Keppel Bay. It was my first time there even though I have heard about it several times. It's similar to the club known as One'15(one degree 15). Many rich people 'park' their yachts there, so generally there are will be bars and restaurants to cater to their pleasure. Baby brought me to Prive', which sells nice western cuisine and alcoholic drinks. Actually I already told Baby not to bring me to anymore posh restaurants on this year's anniversary, because I don't want him to spend too much $$, and it doesn't take expensive food to make the dinner romantic. But he wanted to surprise me, as usual, and wanted to make me feel like princess... Heez~

We had our nice dinner by sea side, sort of sea side lah, and we were able to see the beautiful night view of Carribean @ Keppel Bay. It's really a beautiful condo with it's building structure looking similar to the ones you find in actual Carribean. After having our dinner, we went to TCC on level 2 to have our nice mocha and Devils Chocolate cake. Yummy and very contented, and we were lucky we have the window table, and was able to have a nice view of the yachts and Keppel bridge. I thought after dessert we will be heading home when I can open my pressie~

Then Baby said he had part 2 programme of the night, and he wanted to bring me go somewhere walk walk. I thought he will bring me to Mount Faber, because it was our first dating spot 2 years back. Well, it was another surprise of the night, he brought me to Telok Blangah Hill Park, which was something new to me. He said there is this nice new bride there and its nice for walk walk. Alright, I didn't wear the correct shoe today for some hill climbing adventure, so initially I was kind of upset that I had to on those heels that are killing my feet. Baby was really sweet, he offered to carry me on his back up the hill.... Heez~ But I said it's okie lah, just walk faster, then the pain will end faster too.

Luckily it was just a short walk up the hill before we reached Henderson Wave Bridge. The view was beautiful in the night, and the whole bridge was made with wood, Baby said don't know from what kind of special tree. To my surprise, the wooden bridge was very new and very clean, so I took off my heels and walked bare footed! Feeling much better now, can enjoy the awesome night view without any pain~

We were walking and taking pictures with the Canon ixus 860 which Baby borrowed from his office. We didn't have ours because Papa borrowed our camera to China~ At first I thought we will just walk walk a bit, and take some pictures, look at the beautiful night scenery, then go home to enjoy our white wine that we bought at DFS. We completed like three quarter of the bridge and I was feeling exhausted, and Baby was sweating away too. I told him we should probably head back to the beginning of the bridge, since there is no point that we walk all the way to the end, then walk all the way back again. Baby wanted to finish the whole bridge, but I was too tired after a long day, so he said to rest awhile at a nice spot, take some more pictures, then we can head back.

There were quite a number of people on the bridge, but because of it's long and curvy, wavy structure, there were many 'blind spots' for couples to just sit there, and cuddle together. Baby waited for people to walk away, and was hugging me tightly~ just like those usual hugs we have to tell each other how much we are in love~

Then suddenly, to my biggest surprise ever, Baby knelled down and took out the solitaire ring and popped the important question "Will You Marry Me Baby?" ..... I was like in complete shock, my mind was kind of blank at that moment because I didn't saw all that coming so early. I was too blur to answer Baby's question, and he asked me "Will You?" again. I nodded my head and said yes, and he stood up to wear the ring for me.

I didn' really see all of this coming so soon, because I always thought I knew what was on Baby's mind, and he wouldn't be able to surprise me since I'm always too fast and smart to 'see through' his surprises. We planned to have our ROM on 10 10 2010, so I thought he will propose to me only like next year, or on 2010 itself.

I believe every girl hopes to have the 'perfect' proposal, and that most of them would imagine a romantic and perfect location where your beloved boy hands you a bouquet of flowers, and takes out that beautiful ring and ask you to marry him. Well, heck with that bouquet of flowers, and that imaginary romantic restaurant or location, whats most important is that both of you enjoys that "very moment". Though I didn't get a large bouquet of flowers, find my proposal ring in my mouth after eating a specially made dessert, or finds my ring in my champaign glass while drinking it (all these are common scenes in drama and movies), I loved the way Baby proposed to me. It was simple, sweet, lovely, and most importantly, I could see the sincerity twinkling in Baby's eyes. I truly felt love, and knows that this man, whom I love, loves me as much deep down in his heart, even though he doesn't tell me I love You everyday.

I was rather curious why Baby popped the question so early, and asked him why. His answer was rather cute, he said " I must chop you first to make sure you will be mine" Heez~.... very strange way of answering, but very cute though.

We headed for home, and it was my present opening time after we bathe. My present was in a very cute Hello Kitty paper bag. I opened it up to find a book and a pouch inside. The pouch had a pair of swimming goggles, ear plugs, and swimming cap inside. Baby was so sweet!!! He knew I always want to go swimming, but always gives myself excuses for not going, so he bought everything I needed to make sure that I will be well equipped for any last minute swimming sessions. But my favorite was the book, it was a called "The Simple Truth About Love". There weren't million of words in the book to make up a story or love theory. With every page you turn, you will find yourself looking at very beautifully taken pictures of animals, showing how they express their love to their own kind. There will be well written phrases below every picture to express what the picture was trying to tell you. I loved this book. Heez~ Some of the phrases were rather interesting and funny too~

To my Baby~
Thank you Baby, for entering to my life,
you were always there for me to sayang me when I fall down,
to make monkey faces to make me laugh,
to act cute with me when I act cute,
to hug me when I cry,
to hold my hands when crossing the roads to make sure I'm safe,
to carry me when my legs are too tired or too painful to walk,
to buy lunch or dinner for me even though I'm such a pain with my choices of food,
to hold my numerous shopping bags for me whenever we go shopping together,
to pamper me like a princess,
to tahan my sudden tantrums,
to fetch me from work everyday even though you are tired,
to kiss me on the lips every morning when you wake up,
and to do anything and everything for me when I'm too lazy~

We have spent 730 days together loving each other, and we will have the thousands and thousands of more days to come where we will realize that there will be infinite amount of love that we have for each other.

With Lots and Lots of Muacks~
Baby =p

Present for Baby~

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Yesterday evening, we went to 'Tien Fu'; Paradise on Earth, to have our steamboat dinner. I just suddenly crave for steamboat, and the last time we had it was like June? They have actually shifted to a new location, which was only a few more steps away lah. They took over a mexicon cafe which was located just next to the durian store. The new location was much better, with more outdoor tables, and larger area on a whole. The place is now much more cooling, and you wouldn't have to worry that they are short of tables all the time. But well, to make things easier for yourself, you can always call them to reserve first. Quality of food is still as fresh as ever, but they did increase their price alittle higher tough. They no longer serve free dessert for the buffet meals also. Well heck, the food is still very good, best steamboat restaurant we know, so we will still go there for our steamboat meal!

Today I went to Nike @ Wheelock to get Baby's present during my lunch time =p

I got him a red duffle bag, which was what he always wanted and have been telling me all the time. He kept saying its useful for him when he goes to his volleyball trainings because he can put everything in the bag and bla bla bla. But he didn't dare to buy because I told him not to waste $$. Heez, end up I bought it for him.

Initially my plan was to pay the Bangkok trip for him as my part of the gift. However, Baby denied my offer, saying we should share the 'damage'. Well, I did intend to get him 'the expensive gift', but I guess we should save instead of spending on unnecessary luxury items. I shall wait till its his birthday then I get that gift. I hope Baby likes what I bought him, but I forgot exactly which was the model he liked. But its ok, we can always go exchange if it's the wrong one.

I wonder where will we be going for our anniversary dinner tomorrow....... Baby is keeping me in suspense.... =)

It's Coming.... It's Coming..!!!!

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Time sure flies by without any signs to remind you that you are older by one day and you have been blessed to breath through this second, this minute, this hour..... Life is short, with the definition of 'short' varying depending on how you look at it. To certain unfortunate people, staying alive for one more day, is like striking another day of lottery. To those who are born fortunate and takes life for granted, they dredge about the simplest things like why the seconds hand move so slowly on the clock, or why they are wasting their time doing this, doing that~

Well, these are just some thoughts that ran through my mind a few seconds ago. I guess once someone grows older day by day, gains more life experiences, and actually see the reality of life, they tend to look at everything in a different perspective. I haven't exactly experienced so much in life myself to the extent whereby I can draft my own philosophy about life. But from what I've experienced, and things I've seen from the past till now, I managed to be enlightened, and understand what are the important, needs, wants and unimportant things in life. I've learned to understand that ones life is not just about 'yourself', but about whom are the ones that have shown care, concern, and stayed by your side during the ups and downs of your life.

Cherishing is not just about showing that you care once in a while, it's about really putting the effort to do the simplest things for that someone without any obligations, and let the person feel your concern through the basic things you do everyday..........

Bla Bla Bla~.......

Today we went to bishan S11 to have our dinner. I tried the new western food stall there, known as Western Chow. I think I've seen this brand featured on tv before. But anyway, I tried the Black Pepper Chicken Chop, and it tasted great! Their sauce seems to carry a very different fragrant taste from what you usually get when eating from those standard western food stall. The side dishes includes a generous portion of lightly sauted long beans, french garlic bread, and thick fries. The quality they provided was comparable to those you get in restaurants, and I like the fact that they serve their dishes on ceramic plates instead of plastic ones even though they are located in a neighborhood coffee shop. If you ever pass by there, do give it a try!

Our 2nd year anniversary is nearing, on this Friday. Initially I wanted to pay for the total expenses of our trip to Bangkok as a gift to Baby, but he rejected my offer, saying we should pay half half. So I intend to get Baby another gift, just something not too expensive, but I'm sure he will definitely love it because it's something he always wanted but didn't buy. Heez~

I asked Baby where will we be dining on our anniversary, but he didn't tell me because he wanted to give me a surprise. I don't want him to bring me to those posh restaurants again, because last year he brought me to one posh outdoor restaurant on Dempsey Hill, and it cost him a bomb~ This year, we will just keep it simple and sweet, heez~ Romantic is not necessary lah, just enjoy ourselves =)

Thinking of a way to go buy Baby's gift but not let him find out..... but very hard leh... he fetches me from work everyday~..... Probably go buy during lunch time ba~

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Last night our whole family, together with relatives and friends, attended what I would call, the most well entertained wedding dinner ever. No doubt I felt bored initially when I knew we were going to Orchid Country Club. But when I reached there, I found out that it was my distant cousin getting married(Heez, I have too many relatives, so often I attend weeding dinners with my parents not being aware who was getting married). The bride for the night was the more interesting one. She was actually "Alamak", mediacorp's artist "Hui Ge's" youngest daughter.

Generally, several artists such as Jack Neo, Mark Lee, Ah Nan, Italy-"Yi Da Li" and Chen Jian Bing were invited. There were some other artists such as Jeremy (contestant of Project Superstar 1, current host of "City Beat") and Ming Zhu Jie Mei.

The dinner started late even though most of the guests arrived on time. I guess probably because the "big shots" arrived late. But anyway, the bride and groom prepared a mini cartoon animation of how they met and how their relationship blossomed. It was so sweet, and funny. Then Mark Lee was the MC of the night, duh ! obvious right, who else will do the best job. Jack Neo was invited up the stage to give a speech... but turned out pretty boring. Then Chen Jian Bing sang a nice sweet old chinese song for the love birds. Jeremy was singing Wang Li Hom's Forever Love, very impressive actually, he sang rather well. Then Yi Da Li sang Theng Li Jun's song. Everybody was surprised that she sang very pleasantly, she really sounded like Theng Li Jun. Then Mark Lee sang a duet with her, but he sang the funny version, which set all of us laughing away.

Then Ah Nan came up, said some jokes, and sang "Shao Nien Ying Siong" with Mark Lee. I was laughing all the way, especially during the chorus, because it reminded me of Baby and my friends singing this song in ktv. Lolx~

We were all well entertained, especially the older guests , because there were Hokkien and Cantonese jokes, you know, the type you hear at Ge Tai. Well... food was nice and I was well entertained all night, not that boring after all~

Heez~~

as Busy as a Buzzy Bee!!~

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

I seem to be preoccupied with many "events" after returning from the bkk trip. Last night went for BBQ with Baby at his colleague's place. I was rather tired after the bbq ended at about 11pm. Some more today still got to work.... then after work still have to attend wedding dinner at Orchid Country Club again!!!..... Then tomorrow still got to wake up early to send Papa to the airport as he is going on a worshipping trip to China with the temple members. Oh.... going to miss papa as he is going for a week, and this time without mama's companion.

I realised that everyone seem to be flying recently. Like firstly Fat Siong have to fly to Saudi Arabia for a month++. Then my friends went for their Taiwan Trip, followed by Baby and I going for our Bangkok trip, then tomorrow Papa going China. Is it like the "travelling month".... Lolx~

Papa wants to borrow my camera for his china trip. I alittle worried if he will be able to manage the gadget. You see, well.... Papa is definately not a IT savvy person, and so I tried to teach him every minimal component he needs to know, and ask him to try taking photo himself. But, he just tried one or two times (which I felt wasn't very well taken photos), than says that "its very easy lah, can lah can lah". Hahaha~ Papa is a very headstrong person. Well~ Just hope papa can bring some nice pictures back~ Heez~

Alright, now to continue my unfinished updates of my Thailand trip.

Firstly, I need to emphasise something. On our second day in Bangkok, we were like happily walking from our hotel to Pantip Plaza for our A&W dinner. We walked briskly till we reaach the main road outside our hotel, and naturally, we were approached by those Tuk Tuk drivers. I was walking in front of Baby and he was rejecting the driver, walking while trying to shake that driver off as he was following us. Then he stepped on my slipper, which I didn't notice as I was walking very fast, and my mphosis flip flop slipper snapped. Wah, not only was it painful, I had to walk with one spoilt slipper for another 5-8mins, and climb the steps of a overhead bridge before we reach Platinum mall in order for me to get a new slipper. It's like my mood totally spoilt lor, I know Baby didn't do it on purpose, but generally I will blame and nag at him for awhile before I got appeased. Heez~ Typical "princess" attitude as what Baby always says me~

Baby was sweet lah~... he offered to exchange his slipper with mine so that I didn't have to walk like a crippled. But well, I turn down his offer because I know he will have difficulty just even fitting into my slippers. Luckily there are lots of shoe shops in platinum, and they all looked pretty. I even bought 2 pairs because I couldn't make up my mind which to get.

MBK / Siam Center / Siam Discovery:
We went to these three malls in one shot. Everyone says that we should visit all the famous mall as this was our first visit to Bangkok. Well, I was totally bored during our walk walk in these three malls. The shops there are selling more towards the "high end" price range, and the some of the labels are what we commonly find in Singapore(such as Giodano, Esprit, Mango, Emporior Armani etc). I wasn't prepared to spend that kind of money during my trip, as I don't intend to use my credit card and our cash are rather limited to paying for cheaper products only.

But if you are looking to dine in more upmarket restaurants, do go to these malls as you will be spoilt with choices from japanese to western cuisine.

Big C:
Initially we didn't intend to go Big C, as its quite a distance to walk from our hotel. But on our last day in Bangkok, we walked to pratunam centre early in the morning to pray pray. Baby said it's a good thing to go pray their famous Buddha there when we reach, and before we leave bangkok. After praying I was looking at this big poster hung near where the Buddha statue was located. Its a poster featuring some traditional Thai Cuisine by a restaurant that was located right by the side of Pratunam Center. Then I was approached by a thai auntie who thought I wanted to look for that restaurant to have my lunch. She told me to come back later in the afternoon as its only opened at about 1pm. Then she introduced some other famous tourist spots we can visit to kill time before lunch. She was very friendly and helpful, and I asked her where we can get nice yummies to buy back for our family, and she introduced Big C. She directed us with our map, and told us a short cut. So end up Baby and I walked under the hot sun towards Big C.

There were lots of morning food market stalls along the way, but we didn't try any. Then we reached Big C after about 10 mins walk. There are the usual shops in the mall, and a really large super market, just like Giant in Spore. We managed to find a small stall beside the super market selling the thai yummies, so we grabbed everything we liked because I didn't want to go back home without any famous thai yummies. Big C was not bad lah, better than MBK and Siam, so if you need to look for supermarket during your stay in Bangkok, you can try Big C.

( Baby said Big C means "Big Cinema", don't know true or not. He also said Platinum mall got it's name because it's located in Pratrunam, and when the thai say "pratrunam", it sounds like "platinum" ) - Might be true but sounds rather crappy~

We managed to spend every single thai bhat we had with us before our flight back to Spore. Heez~ We were like looking around the mini mart that was located on level 3, just below departure level. We made sure we our items add up to exactly what amount we had with us. Heez.. very auntie & uncle hor~ but there was really no point leaving a few baht as they won't be of any value.

I will definately go Bangkok again!!.... Maybe in the near future!!! =p

Newly Revamped Closet!

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Boy was I busy yesterday. I pratically spent the whole day removing old unwanted clothes from my wardrobe, and cateorizing my clothes in order of their color. Then I added in my new collection which I got from my Bangkok trip. I even had Baby go to NTUC to get me new 3M hooks for me to hang all my accessories and belts on my wardrobe door so that I can clearly see what to match for each outfit. I'm so happy!!... spending on really cheap and affordable clothes, which are just what we can find in Singapore, but at only one third our price.

Alright, to continue on our fruitful trip to Bangkok.......

Massage:
We went for massaging on our very first day. I guess probably because we were both exhausted from waking up so early in the morning to catch our flight, and that we went walking rounds and rounds in platinum mall. We went to the massage called Laveder Spa, just along the stretch of shops which we will have to pass by when going back and forth to our hotel. On our first day we tried the original Thai Massage. We were directed to their second level which had individual massage rooms. Its so nice, they gave us the couples' room.... we got to massage together~... Heez~

But don't know why after that massge I had body itch for a few days.... initially I thought it was caused by the seafood I ate, but my colleague told me she had this kind of itch after her first thai massage too~.... strange right?.. but I do know that one will get itch after an effective massage~ kind of like because your pores relax and open up~

Chatuchuk Weekend Market:
I read all those reviews, forums and information about shopping at ctc, and most of it recommends that one reach there as early as 8am to beat the mid-day heat. But guess what?.... Baby and I specially wake up early to go there, and most of the shops weren't open yet. It took them time to set up their stalls, especially those selling accessories. So Baby and I had to walk in circles before most of the stall were open, which by then was about 10am.

Though going there early didn't bring me much satisfaction, however, it was indeed much cooler~ It took me less then 3 hours before I got fed up of my sweating body and the direct hot sun. Its pretty tiring to walk under the hot sun too because you get dehydrated and your limbs feel tired faster. By about 1pm, we were both hungry and we had our lunch there. Phad Thai with glass bottled pepsi~...

My trip to ctc wasn't what I consider fruitful. I did get some tops and accessories, but the stalls there didn't really fancy bargaining. It was much easier to get our bargain at Platinum instead. Baby bought one harversack after much bargaining at the price of Bht1100. End up when we went back to platinum, he found the same bag and was offered Bht1000 immediately~... We were both shocked~... Next time should just shop at platinum instead... somemore they have aircon there~
