Da Vinci....genius indeed!

*zHigUo + xiNhUi = kUkU & LaLa *

Today we actually arranged to meet with Shiyuan and Faith at the Science Centre to attend the Da Vinci exhibition.

We actually planned to go last Sunday, but they had something on and it was postponed to this week instead. Actually it's better that there was a postpone as I preferred to go out on Saturdays rather than Sundays. Because when I go out on Sundays, I will worry about having to work on the following day, and to have to leave early to make sure we reach home on time to sleep early. So I will end up being distracted when I'm out, and cannot really enjoy the whole process.

The tickets were at $15 for adults, and we only had to top up another dollar for entry to the Science Centre itself. So we bought the special package for both places lor. Very worthwhile rite? Somemore Baby and I haven't been to the Science Centre together before.

The exhibit was made up of high quality replicas of The Genius's works since don't know how many years ago, can't recall le. I was rather mesmerized by the works of Leonardo Da Vinci, especially the story behind Monalisa's and The Last Supper's painting. In the past, I only knew so little about the great Da Vinci, and the exhibit was an eye opener for me. I didn't know he actually invented and discovered so many things. Idol Man! Too bad cameras weren't allowed in the exhibit, so we couldn't take any photos for memory.... Boo Hoo...

After spending 1.5 hours in the exhibit, we headed for the Science Centre. But before that, we went to get a bite at MacDonalds as both Baby and I haven't ate anything since we woke up. The junk food just tastes great when you are sooo hungry!

The last time I visited the Science Centre was like during secondary school days? Now the place looks rather different, but of course the entrance area was still the same. We enjoyed ourselves playing and mingling with the gadgets... There was even an area with games to play, and Baby had to put on this cute squarish 3D glasses inorder to see the animations in the game.... Cute!

Soon it was 6pm already and we had to move off, as the science centre was closing. So we decided to head to Jurong Point to walk walk and have dinner. I wasn't in the 'shopping' mood, so we jus walked and followed Faith and Shiyuan to the shops they wanted to go. They are holding their solemnization in a month's time and they were checking out the prices of hand bouquets and buying materials for their guest book.

We then proceeded to Din Tai Fung to have our dinner, and I learnt alot of things about the preparations for solemnization. Faith gave me alot of suggestions and advice which was really helpful, and it triggered my mind that it was about time to start preparing for our engagement for next year 10/10/2010. In fact, they were meeting Daniel, their photographer after our dinner and Faith asked if we wanted to come along so that I can meet up with Daniel and discuss about the quotation for us next year.

I learnt that SY & Faith got their photography package at $388, but I was quoted $600 for the same things.... So much difference.... So I have consider first, try to get more quotations for other photographers first....

After that, we met up with Ah Beng and Aili at Xing Wang Hong Kong cafe @ Kovan. Had alot of chit chatting for awhile and we decided to go home le.... Such a tiring day.... But we enjoyed ourselves!
