I really haven't been blogging for a long long time liao.....
Life has been pretty occupied with things to do, events to attend, and dramas to catch.... One key component keeping me occupied is my Boys Over Flowers! I'm really so hooked to this drama... but the most stupid thing happened to me...
When I bought the dvds from the shop, I didn't realized that the whole set of the dvds were packed in 4 volumes. I only took the first 2 sets, paid for it and rushed home to watch it. I only realized that I have half of the drama when I was opening volume 2. So I went crazy and was trying to figure out why is that so... you know.... you get that anxiety to finish the whole drama in one go and suddenly you realized that you only have half of it....
Than I saw the that each volume only have 6 episodes.... Which makes it 4 volumes to complete the drama. But I remember not seeing the 3rd and 4th volume when I patronized a few dvd shops leh... so I called poh kim... and I realized that volume 3 and 4 has not been released yet..... Shit man....
Actually I can just jolly well log on to the website where I can watch the full set of the drama, but I just don't like the idea of watching online. I still prefer watching from the dvds.... I know there aren't any difference in the quality of the image but I just don't like it. My mindset can be quite stubborn at times.... but even my close friends agree with me leh....
Anyway, theres always no harm buying the original dvds, as I know I will definitely watch my dramas over and over again.... But as of now... volume 3 still has not been released yet.... How long do I still have to wait???
I downloaded the full set of their OST as I the songs are all very nice and touching. Although I don't know what the lyrics meant as they are mostly in korean, but I still loved how the songs and melody trigger the touching and loving moments in my mind when I listen to it. =) Heehee.... Baby says that I'm over exergerating.... But thats exactly how I feel mah....
Guem Jan Di is a simple yet strong-willed young lady. She waits part time in a small porridge store and helps in a small-scale family-owned dry-cleaning store located near the luxurious and well known Shinhwa college. One day, she delivers clothes to one of the students, Lee Min Ha, of this luxurious school who is on the brink of suicide attempt. When he jumped, fortunately, Jan Di catches him and that news circulated to the public's attention because it involves the infamous F4 group by admitting Guem Jan Di on a swimming scholarship.
Guem Jan Di reluctantly attends the school and promises to stay out of the public interest like in her former school, where she was known to protect and fight for her friends. Anyone tagged with one of F4's red cards in their lockers will be the center of the school's singling out. Guem Jan Di tries her best to avoid confrontation with the so called F4 and brings out her suffering of not defending the helpless students in a unused stairway in the school premises. One day, she shouts her anguish but too late to learn that she was not alone in the place. She becomes dumbfounded when a handsome young lad emerges from below stairs yawning loudly – he informs her that she disturbed his quiet time. In the afternoon, she finally got to witness F4's nasty power trip. It seems that one of her schoolmate prided himself that he has the same polo that Goo Joong Pyo wore. Goo Joong Pyo did not like that because all his clothes were customized for him. She also learned that the young man she saw in the stairway is a member of that dreadful F4 group. In her mind she wanted to do something for her maltreated classmates but when she tried she got tongue-tied. After everyone was gone, she unconsciously voice out loud her opinions and three mean beautiful girls heard it. These ladies have their eyes only on the F4 boys. They gravely warned Jan Di.
One day she befriends a girl named, Oh Min Ji. This, and the swimming pool where she can swim anytime she wants, made Jan Di decide to stay. She dreams one day to be an Olympic swimmer. However, one day her life changed forever. While they were having fun and eating ice cream, Min Ji inadvertently falls down and landed on F4's group leader Goo Joong Pyo's expensive shoes. Min Ji says sorry but Goo Joong Pyo did not accept her apology. However, he said he will forget about it if Min Ji will lick out the ice cream from his shoes. When Min Ji was about to lick it, Jan Di defended Oh Min Ji and the punishment was passed on to her. When she was about to stoop and lick out the ice cream as Jun-pyo waits expectantly, she stops mid-bow and jostles her ice cream cone on Joong Pyo's face, causing him to fall over. She said some things to him that left him too stunned to rebuke.
The next day she was tagged with F4's red card. She did her best to fight back. Guem Jan Di escapes to the stairway and unexpectedly meets Yoon Ji-hoon and receives his handkerchief so she could wipe herself up. For the whole week Goo Joong Pyo continues to give instructions to torment Guem Jan Di but he was unsuccessful in putting down Guem Jan Di. He was absolutely convinced Guem Jan Di will come running and begging in her knees. He counts down, and was dismayed when she didn't. A week later Goo Joong Pyo was still engrossed in tormenting Guem Jan Di. He lirtered the pool where Guem Jan Di swims everyday and asked several male students to attack Jan Di after her swimming practice. She cried but braced herself to finally meet head-on with this haughty Goo Joong Pyo. At home, Guem Jan Di's brother, Geum Kang San, reads a news article that there was an unnamed 2nd year student who got pregnant. Little did she know that this is one of the dirty stuff that Goo Joong Pyo plans for her. When she reports to the school next day, unfriendly comments about her purity was plastered all over the classroom. This does it for her and she goes to F4's exclusive room and confronts Goo Joong Pyo. She warns him that she was done in putting up to his childish antics and determined to stop Goo Joong Pyo's conceited character and kicks him right in the face in front of his friends. Goo Joong Pyo was too taken aback to defend himself.
But rather than revenging, Goo Joong Pyo's slowly becoming more gripped towards this Guem Jan Di, who, so much reminds him of his older sister, Goo Joon Hee. Also, he thinks Guem Jan Di has a crush on him because apparently in their confrontation, Guem Jan Di said that she have not yet experienced her first kissed. After school finishes, unknown guards kidnap Guem Jan Di. She wakes up and notices the unbelievable things that are happening right in front of her eyes. She was being dressed and make up then finally presented to none other than Goo Joong Pyo. She got so angry because she felt cheap that anyone could just pay her to be someone's woman. She left Goo Joong Pyo so devastated, tasting his first rejection from a woman. From then on, Goo Joong Pyo's curious feeling grew for Guem Jan Di. However, Jan Di's heart was for JiHoon alone at this stage and this upsets Goo Joong Pyo because he can't accept that for the first time someone resisted him.
I just love this drama... the cast... the script... the shooting locations... the plot.... and songs... and everything about it...!!!
