Today is yet another holi-wednesay for me... I thought having to sleep more today would perk me up from my sleepy mood since monday... but Im still feeling restless and tired.. What's wrong man?... Probably working too hard?.. or played too hard last week?... Lolx.. I think working too hard is not the right reason... I guess I need a good rest.. maybe 1 or two days of leave to stay at home and rest, or maybe 1 more day for shopping.. Hehe~ But most importantly... 1 week of holiday to go Bangkok!!... Shopping!!... Good Food!!... Full Body Massage!! But I still gotta wait for my GM to approve my leave before our trip to BKK on Sept is confirmed~... But I don't care~... I Must Go..!!!!!
I kind of have quite a number of activities going on this month.. many people jio to go out.. go play pool, go wild wild wet outing, go eat steamboat, go watch movie, bla bla bla... Some more still got company event on 25th, Persian food again.. wines.. social entertainment to our quest~.. Will be eating too mush good food this month man.. gotta go swimming or badminton with Baby liao...
But to remind me of my uncontrolled eating.. today Baby and me went to Cafe Cartel @ Bishan for dinner... Initially wanted to go for Thai Express, but this promo from Cartel attracted me.. Free ice Cream Topped Brownie for Capita Card Holders with every $40 spent at Cartel.. Thats how I convinced Baby to go Cartel for dinner because he didn't really like the food there... Heeex~
I had the Specialty Award Winning Pork's Ribs, and Baby had Sterloin Steak @ medium rare.. EeEe.. Medium Rare is not cooked enough for me~...

Overall, the dinner wasn't very nice, because the food wasn't fresh enough, and Baby's medium rare steak was alright in the beginning, however, towards the middle of the steak he realized that it wasn't cooked long enough, so it was kind of bloody in the middle.
The service standard was really lousy too, when I asked about the free brownie promo during ordering, the waitress was very unfriendly, and keep mentioning that our orders have not reached $40 dollars despite the fact that we haven't finish ordering. She also informed me that I have to pay with my Capita Card in order to enjoy this benefit. "Duh, its common sense what"
When we finish ordering (which Baby had already calculated our bill should have reached $40), she still say its not enough, so I prompt her whether the "$40" includes gst and service charge. She then said yes and we reminded her our order should have reached the expected "$40" if it includes gst and service charge. After checking the total amount with her cashier, she then came back and told us its above $40, but still insisted that I show her my Capita Card before submitting our order.
What the hell man, showing this kind of attitude to customers like as if we can afford to pay our meal leh.. haven't started my meal, I'm already pissed of by them. The worst thing was that when we asked to serve our dessert, it took them 20mins before we get to eat it.. Although the dessert was up to my expectations because I always liked Cartel's brownie due to its unselfishly large serving, I still didn't liked the attitude I got from the waitress.

I really don't understand why these well to do restaurants have such service standards, and they still dare to charge us 10% service charge. I'm also in the service line, and in fact for many years. I know what it feels to be serving different types of customers everyday, and all sorts of awful remarks or attitude we get from nasty customers. Thats why I always spare a thought for those people who serve me when I go to restaurants or shopping. But why do I still get this kind of freaking lousy service attitude from them?... Is this the kind of service standard we can only get in Singapore?...
I kind of admire myself for my patience , even when I meet the most nastiest customer, and I'm proud of the service awards I get during my career in Aspial. I always believe, if you want to be in the service line, you must tell yourself to be prepared for the worst of the worst customer, and patiently solve any arising problems with a smile on the face.. and be polite and courteous when we speak.. I believe thats the most basic attitude one should have if they want to be in the service line.. But it's usually not what we get in Singapore~
No wander tourists always complain about the service standards in Singapore~ Moreover nowadays majority of the retail companies are hiring PRC for the service line.. omg~.. is it really that cheap labour? They can't even speak proper english or understand what the customer is saying, how are they able to assist us?.. we still have to translate our question to mandarin in order to accommodate to them~ * No offense to some PRC I know.. but it's the fact~...
